8867MB PATCH now? It says I already have it installed? wtf i thought i was ready to play in 45 minutes and at the rate its updating i wont be playing til tuesday....any help please.
I am installing the game again and it said 1.5 version or 1.5.x. Not sure how i can install that version from the same place i installed the other version and now i have to update the old version, something isnt right. not really sure hope i can go live when OB is up
me either....i have a folder with 9.12gb in it ...so i know i have the game but i cant load it for some reason with out patching the entire game again.

Just a FYI, when all is updated, the Aion folder is 11.2gb with no screenshots in it.
Earlier this week, I was having problems with the NCSoft Launcher; it kept telling me that it was up to date and would not access the file to update (I had the earliest version at the time and I had stopped it with 2 gigs of 3 remaining to patch so I know it wasn't done).
Right click on the Aion name and see what happens when you select update; if anything, it will reference what you do/do not have and then go from there.
If you are using anything other than the NCSoft Launcher, I am not too familiar with the other means to update the game.
I just erased everything and reinstalled the game with the setup thing....then when i try to run the game the nc launcher opens and i have to patch almost 9gbs? is that normal....can i get this from file planet because their launcher will take over 8 hours.
Also now i can not erase the nc launcher from my desktop...just the icon.
i just erased everything nc or aion related except my folder with the set up in it....when i hit that to install it, it says will instal 1.5.0.1.....isnt that right?
When you install, are you installing to the default directory?
I'd imagine that if the NCSoft Launcher is not finding the file(s), it is thinking that you do not have the client installed. May want to try it from that direction.
NOTE: To uninstall the Launcher from the desktop, go into the Control Panel add/remove programs and uninstall from there.
i uninstalled everyting from the add/remove programs and now the shortcut is still there....no clue on that one....but not suprised that i am not going to get to play...this sucks....
I am running Vista Home Premium; that is why I have two Program File folders (one for 32 bit apps and another for 64 bit apps).
When you install, I am not sure if it just installs to where you downloaded the file too or if it is allowing you to choose a location. I downloaded my copy directly from NCSoft (or wherever they directed me to) a couple months ago.
Good luck getting this figured out without having to redownload everything.

how can i have a file with 9.12gb folder and still have to download the whole game?
Have you actually installed it? The install folder is 11.2 GB
You might have just downloaded the game, and not actually installed it.
In your folder with the 9.12gigs, is there a setup program?
If so id install it =]

Get over it already.

yes that is right and after you install the game you have to pull up the nc soft launcher and update the game from 1.5.0.1
to 1.5.0.3

that isnt almost 9gb is it? i thought that was just a quick one.
Mine is located at...
C:Program Files (x86)NCSoft
Aion is in one folder.
Launcher shows to be in another.
Both are in the folder located at above location.

This is why PC gaming is doomed.
The next generation of consels will eliminate the need to be a computer programer to play games.
