Which Pre Order Package is Better?

From a Power Standpoint which of the two Pre order gifts are better or is it just a matter of preference if you want the horse or Atv? Also can these things be easily replaced/gained? Here are the two packages for comparison.
Atv Package:
Additional protection through elevated armor and defense skills
150 more hit points
10 percent higher fuel efficiency
33 percent larger gas tank
Four more storage slots than basic ATVs
Custom paint job and rims
Horse Package:
Requirement Level 10 horse with the stats of a Level 12 horse
Additional range and cargo space
Four more points of defensive skills
2500 more Stamina
Six more pack slots than other horses

Power standpoint, Horse hands down. You don't have to spend a ton on it to keep it feed. Neither do you have to spend 600chips roughly to make it(think its less, but between 5-6blues to craft)
ATV is more a nice thing than useful. I went with it, but if I was going purely power, I'd get the horse.
Is Melee or Ranged combat stronger in this game? The answer to that will also help in my decision altho if the bonuses the packages give to their respective playstyle is negligible then its back to me picking between horse and atv.
I got my pre-order straight from Icarus Studios because I felt that they should be making money off of the sale instead of D2D THEN Icarus Studios.
D2D can be replaced with any of the other (e-)retailers.

SlayVus makes a good point about where your money goes.
Having said that, I would point out that both the horse and the ATV are one time use items and rapidly outgrown. So view them more as things you will want as a keepsake on a given character rather than something of lasting utility.
If you are keen on a pure utility assessment, the Horse while lacking in some of the speed or carrying capacity of the buggy is so self sustaining that it can save a lot of resources in the early game. Similarly, a major quest line revolves around building your own ATV.
The horse I have (not realizing at time i COULD buy direct from Icarus... silly moi) and found it handy and fun. But i've been chasing to make the ATV all the same

As for melee vs. range? They so far seem balanced and useful in their intended ways. I for one am thrilled that Ranged combat is not an autowin and has some context and restrictions compared to melee to keep them in a good competition.
But that's just my point of view, others differ.
I went with the ATV also, simply for the novelty of it, I can make a decent horse in a relatively short time.
Horses can go anywhere, ATV's can't, not least because they can't climb steep hills. Also ATV's cost more to run than a horse. Finally, considering one of the major mission lines that you'll be starting a few days after starting is all aboout building your own ATV, makes the free one rather pointless.
I went with the ATV because a horse can be crafted very early on for very cheap (between 200-300 chips). My ATV is garaged though because in early levels it is very expensive to maintain. The ATV is great for getting from town to town quickly and safely but the horse is the best once you are in each town gettting around or crafting.
I also agree with those above that I felt better buying direct from Fallen Earth than from D2D.
I wanted the ATV but already pre-ordered on D2D...
But the horse given is nice though.
I got the horse too. I think it'll be better in the early stages of the game. Gas is quite expensive!
Also went for the horse ^^ Can't wait to give the game a try when they reopen subscriptions!
Horse here too. When I played in beta a lot of people who went for the ATV said it was expensive to upkeep. Plus the horse can go just about anywhere. Can't wait until the 9th. What time does it go live. I saw somewhere it was 6pm CST? Anyone know?
went with the ATV pre-order so Icarus gets a little more dev money

Ok, I see alot of people that visit mmorpg.com came to post what type pre-order they went with.
If I am not mistaken, I believe the mount / vechicle can only be used with -- ONE -- character .. I know you can have a ATV and Horse on one character, but what I am saying is that the bonus'es you can only apply to 1 character per account. So if you got 2 or 3 characters created, only 1 of them gets it.
I am going back to re-check this question on the main forums, but just wanted to give fellow mmorpg.com'ers
