Can someone link a post where NCSoft at least acknowledges the lag issue? I have seen many post here and on other sites that say its due to your particular ISP and its routing, that is fine...but what bothers me is NCSoft has said nothing. I could not play at all in the closed beta (3-10 second lag with each and every spell cast) and in the open beta, it is FAR worse. Any (and I mean each and every) spell I cast, nothing happens for 5-20 seconds. Also, I can not even walk. My character keeps 'bouncing back'. If NCSoft at least will acknowledge the issue, I may stick it out, but otherwise, its very tempting to cancel pre-order and try the game again in 6-12 months once they work the lag monster out.

NCsoft is the publishing company. THEY ARE NOT THE EXACT DEV. The Devs are from a team branched off of NCsoft. The ones who do talk ussually do via twitter. ayase and xaen have been pretty up to date. Since the issue has been an issue for the good period of time you'd have to do massive searching. Many people have asked ayase alot of the lag issues. http://twitter.com/aion_ayase. The best bet is to try the beta boards. I personally can't get on because I'm having issues with registering. Check there is your best bet.

Yup, there's a sticky in the general discussion section of the beta board that addresses lag issues. Meaning they know its there & are trying to fix it.

Yep, has a few questions they're asking those having lag issues to provide answers to so they can gather data on it.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

they cant find why, last time wow had an issue with level 3 ,level 3 had done a security upgrade that messed connect for a long while before they could find the problem
att doesnt help with their US first policy.and to top it all warner bros or whaever the internet provider is had problem too lol
NO MONKEY SEE ,NO MONKEY DO.lol
There are several problems that are, I'm sure, hindering the issue. One of the bigger issues is that not everyone is experiencing lag. I'm not. The other issue is that many people do not differentiate between actual network lag, and similar issues that are actually a problem with their own computers. That makes it harder to narrow down the specific common problem. Last I heard, they were aware of a problem with one of their ISP's, which may have been causing some of the issues. i have not seen anything since.
I'm playing from an eastern european country(yeah, really, I never give my real personal details on teh internetz), but I've never had any lag problems with Aion, so it must be the ISP issue. I hope they will fix it tho.
Yes they have acknowledged it. It is a network backbone issue from certain ISPs.
I find it hard for them to blame 3, count them, 3 of the biggest world wide backbone providers over as little players as this open beta actually brought in. Seriously, this little marketing release wouldn't even DENT level3.net.
A backbone blackout would cause: gas stations would go down, stores like wal mart would go down, banks to go down, ATMs to go down, businesses to lose millions/billions, it would be a large and direct effect on the economy and it would be on the news and people on the internet would be screaming "Ogod the intarwebz are down". Their stuff is broken, don't let them put the blame on someone else so they don't ruin their own reputation.
If their diagnosis was actually right you wouldn't have intermittent connection to the server, you'd have NO connection to the server. NONE. ZERO.
