K, i havent made it very far in the game, but i was wondering, are the docks to leave the island of refuge all the way over on the otherside? and do you have to complete all quests before you can leave the isle?
the docks to leave the island are right by where you start the game. no you dont have to finish ALL the quests, just 3-4 class specific quests from the person on the island for your class. the last quest they give you is an ogre quest which isnt required to leave, but it gives yu a nice item. you'll need a group to do it though. there are many other quests on the island but you dont have to do any not assigned by the class people. when you can leave, talk to the ambassador of the city you are going to and leave. you have to ring the bell on the left dock (facing towards the sea) by right clicking it and selecting "ring bell".

he's a dwarf right by the bank and near the big mage tower past the very very first gate you go through after you start the game. he is a blacksmith and is staying there by an anvil. his name starts with a B, thats all i can remember. sorry.

oooooh. you have to pick you class first. go back to where you started and talk to Darven the guard to pick your class then do the quest he gives you (look at top right corner of screen). if you did already then go kill a goblin and talk to him again, because he gave you a quest and until you complete it you can't talk to the dwarf dude.

i have made it all the way to the third "City". and so far i have had no trouble killing things but now i am getting my butt kicked, and i keep dieing and losing mass experience, how do i kill the massive groups of goblins?
don't run in blazing wanting to kill everyone you see. if you see someone with a red border around their names stay away, they will aggro (attack on site) you. lure the brutes to you with the taunt ability.
also, when you die make sure you get your spirit shard by following the light trail back to your body and "absorbing" it. you take serious debuffs for a while if you dont get it back. also, when you get it back your experience debt (see below) goes down DRAMATICALLY.
also, you dont actually "lose" exp. you go into whats called experience debt. in a nutshell this means that you just get slowed experience until that red part of the exp bar is full.
