What is Wrong with People?

Hasn't anyone here played a beta before? Doesn't anyone realize that this is a damn stress test for the servers, and that no the servers for Korea and China compared to here will NOT be the same? Stop complaining about lag, because they are doing that on purpose.

And yes, there are multiple channels for the beginner zones to avoid lag as the new players bumrush the game when it comes out. Do I agree with this move? Whole-heartedly. There is only one zone for literally everything else in the game (except dungeons), so stop your complaining that you need to swtich channels to play with your friend, it only takes the click of a mouse.

Yes, autofollow is a complaint, but there are movement bonuses when taking damage, alla moving backward reduces damage taken from mobs significantly, moving sideways parries, etc. It's stupid to let autofollow do all the work, there is in fact skill involved. And, autofollow is necessary for aerial combat or else melee would get owned by ranged every day of the year.

P.S. The website numbers are slightly off but the point remains the same.

Welcome to the ranks of people who understand MMO's and whats up with Aion.

One thing to keep in mind that at the first scent of blood, some predators go into a feeding frenzy.

Other than politics, I think MMO forums draw the most confrontational people alive.  One wolf howls ZOMG itz krapola! ... and all the other wolves chime in.  Its something fun for people who have nothing better to do than fight over what MMOs are good (or not).

Aion is for MMOs what Sarah Palin is for politics.  The current "hot" topic for bashing or defending.

One man, a small pile of money, and the screwball idea of a DIY Indie MMORPG? Yep, that's him. ~sigh~

Honestly, the combat system is one of the best that I have seen, in comparison to tanking in WoW.  Move a little sideways to kite sometimes, stack a few of the skills whose names I have forgotten, etc.  In Aion, there is actual movement to affect the skill of a tank, so it is a lot more twitch based than anyone is giving it credit for.  In the noob zones I am sure that this will not factor into leveling, but at endgame PvP and PvE this will be huge.

And, to restate my original point, anyone using auto-follow only is simply is not good at video games.

People complain just for the heck of it....

Actually the lag issues people have been having isn't intentional. They're having routing/ISP issues. But regardless the point remains. Just be glad it is all occuring during a Beta Test, instead of release.

    Exactly,

And for the FIRST time in all my years in MMO gaming...... we in Europe seem to have a more smooth Open Beta experience so far then you US peeps.

I guess for everything is a first. He he.

Well you guys did get Darkfall first, and didn't have to deal with that terrible NA ordeal (for those that do not know, you were required to purchase ANOTHER copy of the game in order to make an account for the NA servers).

My computer isn't exactly the best out there..and barely passes the minimum requirements...yet...I was stunned by the gameplay and how lag-less it was for me.  I cannot understand all the complaining of this game..this game is just absolutely beautiful and I'm grateful  to be able to play this game.

Fixed it, sorry to say. Only forum that have been somewhat good to read at a release was LOTRO, I guess that game is really or the only succesfull then.

These forumpost is just a cliché, same same rince and repeat. Those posts don't bare any weight anymore, really, c'mon every game is a failure when you read what it is in the forums. You always see a crapload of bashing done on a game.

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.

  • I think the issue for people with this game in particular is that Aion is almost a year old now, and I dont think it is wrong to expect they have already resolved all those minor niggles that people are seeing...and then throw in the fact NCSoft's record of making changes for teh western gamers tastes rather than Korea isn't good (and I dont blame them there, Korea is where they make their money) then people are a little skeptical.

I don't think that is unfair...ignoring the hater trolls anyways :p

It's a decent wow alternative with a typical korean/manga style that plays very solidly. Have to say I have found very few bugs, but like I said for a year old game I should hope so! For me, its just that it is just more of the same, and I'm not sure I am up for that in another generic fantasy 101 setting, Champions might be waaaay more rough round the edges, but at least its a different setting, so might go with that rather than Aion after the free month.

What is wrong with you posting a link to an exploit site?
