I thought I would update my earlier post now that beta has ended and the latest patch as been deployed.

I have to say that a lot of my earlier remarks still stand and although I haven't yet had too much time to sit down and play I am very impressed. As you are no doubt aware a lot (and I mean a lot) of complaints have been made about the big patch on the live date which I agree Cryptic could have communicated better but on the whole what they did was right.
1) They needed to make the game harder, if they didn't everyone would have finished playing by now which in a beta environment is exactly what you need to test all the content in a short space of time.
2) You need to look at it from the perspective of a non-beta player who buys it off the shelve. These users will not think there Champion has suddenly gone from hero to zero, that is just the way it is supposed to be - challanging.
3) I have just created a Gadget champion, one which I thought would be challenged in combat and die quite often (if certain posts are to be believed) and it is fine and plays just as I would expect. I have died but I basically attacked a mob to difficult for my character and I only just lost.
Other than that I have now got to grips with the block system which makes combat a bit more interesting than the norm. and I have enjoyed what I have played so far.
Two minor issues:
1) I have upgraded my graphics card to a GTX275 and something still isn't quite right, i'm just going to keep playing with the settings until I get the right balance of FPS and quality.
2) Still haven't got the hand of the inventory system and how things slot into it - I guess again I'll play until I get it right.
See you in game!

You hit the nail on the head there. I only started this after retail came out and am really enjoying it. I can understand why people who played in the beta are disappointed with the big nerf, but if you are only experiencing the post-nerf game experience with no experience of the pre-nerf imba-ness, it's a lot of fun.
