You, like many people', are mixing up "more" and "better". More zone doesn't make the game better. Revamping old unused zone (cept for lvling alts) was the way to go; the decision which aren't acceptable are tauren paladins and dwarf shamans.
Yes a half-man half-cow imbued with magical nature who lives in a culture strikingly similar to native americans...now that's realism.
Jeez it's make-believe, don't you remember what it was like to have a creative imagination?
C'mon you got to admit it isn't as far a stretch as goat people from outerspace.

I think he meant that tauren paladins will be ridiculous.

No no no, they'll be beyawesome! All the paladin stuns adn then on top of that taurens racial, if they don't do something about that, tauren paladin will be the ultimate race class combination.

If you were to look at this Azeroth Revamp thing as just a new Zone like Northrend and Outlands were for their X-pacs, then Basically nothing innovating would be new to the game. Catclsm would be nothing more then another lame TBC type x-pac, that only added a new place, with 2 stupid races. I play Alliance, and like the Draenie, the Worgen seem lame to me. Not for lore reasons this time like in TBC, but just for the fact that they can still look Human. Which basically takes half the interest out of them. Plus with no new classes, Iall just be playing the same boreing classes that iav been playing so far on all the old races. Yes it has new Raids and Dungons, but doesnt every X-pac? So thats nothing new. And this Heroic Deadmines thing--- Yes We wanted this, but once again, if you look at this as nothing but a new X-pac Dungon, then boom,,,, its back to the fact that Cat adds nothing innovating to WoW this time around like WoTLK and TBC did. Iam still buying it, but Whats the cool fun selling part of this X-pac? As I said, looking at new Azeroth as a new zone, you would basically see that nothing big and new is really coming to the game play.
You, like many people', are mixing up "more" and "better". More zone doesn't make the game better.

Many of you people are taking my OP and changing my words.
What I am pointing out, is that Every Feature they added in CAT is no dif then the other x-pacs
Azroth, wheter you like to hear it or not, is a new continant, just with Azeroth taged on it. Just like every other X-pac that added a new Continant.
New races is nothing new. Blizzard did that with the first X-pac. So what????????????
New Raids? Didnt they add new Raids when TBC and WoTLK came out? New Dungons? ????? NEw Heroics?????????
Nothing NEW!!! Point blank...... Nothing that hasnt been done.
Flying mounts in Azeorth? So,,,,, its a new continant, with the same name. thaking the place of the old zones.
On the whole I'm looking forward to it with a few reservations.
I'm looking forward to the rated BG's. I want to see what the new rewards will be. If they aren't comparible to pve or arena then that will be pants and put a question mark over it for me.
I'll definitely not buy it if they take my flying mount off me again though. Those 7 levels on foot in WotLK were a pain and totally unnecessary.

So what are you looking for beyond a new class?
New mechanics? You want them to change 'how' Warcraft is played? I don't understand your point.....you want them to radically change the game because it's an expansion and your bored with the old way of playing?
If you eliminate new zones as 'new', if 'eliminating' the old game and relpacing it with a new one isn't 'new', if new content, new class combos if all of that isn't 'new'....then all you are left with is how the game is played. So what you want from the xpansion is an NGE?
Like I said before, it is still going to be the game of warcraft, if you don't like Warcraft, don't get the expansion and don't play the game.
And you also miss this point; as the game ages, some expansions should address updating old content, graphics, etc. Sometimes you should clean the house before you build a new edition to the house.
But again......what could Blizzard do to make you happy? Other than add a new class.
Like all other active millions EU/US subscribers and millions of others who will want to see what Azeroth looks like since they left.
And they will ALL have their little stories to tell to their RL friends and brag about their class playing and boss downing.
If the new techniques seen in WotlK will now be visible as of level 1, some guys will be really surprised by WOW 2010.
------
No further explanation, because everyone will be IN it for some reason or another and those saying otherwise will be standing first in line at midnight on some cold rainy night in May 2010.
Some things never change.... like the launch of a new Blizzard product.
He usually says 11.6 million active subscribers . Could it be even Zorndorf is finally coming to terms with the reality that Blizzard can no longer boast the number of players they once had .
As for the Cataclysm i think it will bring people back like myself to have a look and see . But a revamp which does nt acknowlage the problems why so many of us are leaving ,the boost to WOWs flagging subs will be short lived . I hope Blizzard recognise this even if fanatical fanbois dont .

Well having the government of China effectively shut down your game for several months hurts your subscription numbers. Having that happen right at the same time a major competing mmo launches isn't going to help either. China is a large contributor to wows overall subscriber numbers, so I doubt we will see any new records posted for some time, if ever.
Overall though, I don't think "so many" people are leaving. Just because the issue with China has stopped new subscriber benchmarks, I don't think it shows masses leaving. In the western market wow still has 3 titles in the top ten best selling software list for I don't even know how many years in a row now. That is not something you see with a game that has a problem which is causing many people to leave.
What problems are not being acknowledged that you think is causing so many people to leave?
Blizzard failed to succeed in one area very important to me and I know alot of others. Casual players cannot see all the game and this will eventually catch up with them, you either need to top tier raid or arena to be competetive in pvp, not to mention there is a juvenile element to the game that can be unpleasent at times.
I read some where that they're finally opening up the world tree zone. I've been waiting for this since I hit M and noticed a big missing mouse-over where the world tree is on the map I'll buy it just to check the world tree out lol. Plus after a million raids on Auberdine, it's finally been destroyed! Death to the Tree-huggers!
I'm still disappointed that there won't be a new hero class. I still want my Necromancer, multi-pet, hero class that should've been released with WotLK. Not everyone wants to play melee! Besides, the Necromancer could've easily been added to the same start area as the DK

Iam sorry but something like updateing old contents and graphics, is something that could/ should be done in a patch. Save the x-pacs for new stuff. And Cat just doesnt add much that want done before in the other x-pacs.

That's just semantics. What is the diference between new content for max levels and new content for low levels? If you don't consider rewamping old areas with new art, different terrain and new quests nothing new, you are purposely doing so to prove your point, and that isn't looking at the whole picture, it's just looking at the frame and yelling "this is lame, all other pictures have frames".
They did add new graphic options in patches, they also rewamped xp gains and level requirements in patches.
We could say CAT isn't adding anything new that wasn't added in other expansions, but we'd have to wait untill it's out before we can make such a claim. Talent tree rewamp and hunter-warlock mechanics rewamp is something new, but I have a feeling you'll dismiss that too. Guild leveling, well since other games have it, even though it's new to WoW will make you dismiss that too.
What about housing? If WoW added housing, would you consider that new, cuz, you know, other games had it first?
