I can download the client. install the game but every time i try and install this "free to play" game it asks me for a key to create an account, and so far the only way ive found to get a key is to "BUY" this "free to play" game that about right? mmm guessing there not going to get many subs with that

2. Register DDO account
3. You will get key in mail
4. Write key
5. Log in
6. Play
Should have read harder, it's not Free-To-Play until the 9th. So, it will want a key until then.

You can not create a Free to play account untill wednesday, now its only a headstart for old/current subscribers and beta testers.
9/9/9 is the offical launch of DDO: Eberron unlimited
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

AFAIK the european version of DDO won't be free to play as of yet, so don't go to codemasters site. Go to www.ddo.com
It becomes FREE on September 9th 2009. You might even want to wait till the 10th to insure there's less problems with the dates.
If you are in Europe you will not be able to play for FREE.
