So far ( I am lvl 10) it is fun, but very confusing, you have a million powers and very little explanation of which ones to get or why, the manual is non existant and the online manual is worthless, the tutorial very basic. Hello please come out with a better manual!

I really find it quite easy myself. Simply look at the skills and see what skills need what stats.
There is a manual on their site for download.
However, I agree there should be some sort of wiki site. I think its still too new though to expect a lot of explanation, especially as they are probably going to patch/change powers a few times before the dust settles on the wiki..
I was really confused by grouping. I have a buddy who is 14th level and I am 15th and most quests we tried to do together, we could do but I wasn't getting credit for them or vise verse. I got ALL The loot on his mission. It didn't auto-instance us when we went to Canada or Desert to the same number, that was irritating.
I think grouping is a little on the confusing side.

The NPC's in the starter area are there for your tutorial. Different ones will give you different details and every specific mechanic in the game. From upgrade slots, combat techniques to perks etc. Visit the NPC's with icons over their heads in the tutorial and ask them questions, you'll learn everything you need to know in the tutorial area by the time you're level 2.
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a robot foot stomping on a human face -- forever."
Which is the NPC who tells you that whatever you pick at 6th and 13th level becomes your 'damage' stat?
Which is the NPC that tells you all the upgrade paths for the specialization points you can spend? I got very confused about what seems like a very minor enhancement of Reapears Careess from level 1 to 2, versus something that would give me back "Some energy" everytime it attacked, as to how much energy that is.
Even the descriptions of the powers do not give you a clear idea of how much damage they do when first creating your character. You sort of have to create it first, then look at the skill description. I created a swordsman about 4 times before finally settling on dual weild with custom framework of str/con as an example.
Did you read the advanced description on the powers? They usually give you numbers to mull over.
Current: None

Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN
The primary stat selection thing is something that definitely should be better explained. If I was starting the game for the first time this would kinda piss me off. I mean it isn't explained anywhere and it is a hugely important decision and we all know that respec costs are extreme meaning respecing more then the last couple decisions is undoable.
When you go to pick primary attributes it should say what the impact of them is right on the page where you pick them....
Also powers that are effected by stats are not very good about indicating that they are. Or maybe a lot of them are just not effected by stats. I've kinda heard conficting info on that issue as well...
