hi there, EVE for me is that thing I know i have to get far away so i dont screw my life; i went in several times in trials and loved the game, complex mechanics, inmense world, and after graphics revamp looked damn inmersive to me; i recognised it as something really dangerous to me and my RL plans so never really played it. So my feeling is kind of dual since i would love to participate and inmerse myself in such graet game, and on the other hand i am quite hapy i saved my time so i could (also) do some important things to me. Actually love to follow the news about that world, and take a look at what goes on; but dont think starting now is viable due to state of game.
I joined after I heard of the (first) E-bank Scandal. I asked about it on my home forum, and promptly got smacked upside the head with a "We told you this game was awesome two years ago".
And then I found out it also had spaceships. Sold!
I know this has probably already have been said, but every time someone says EvE online in my life I say
Spreadsheets IN SPPPPAAAAAACCCEEEEEE!!!! with an echo and such.
There is no game that i had less fun playing then Eve. Its the game version of watching paint dry and i play Vanguard for god sakes.
Currently Playing: Fallen Earth Played and liked: TCOS, Vanguard, Guild Wars, DDO Played and didn't like: CO, MO, STO, DF, AoC, WAR, WoW, EQ2, EVE, most f2p Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, Secret World
After reading this thread what comes to mind is a ton of people that don't get it putting a lot of effort into crying about it.
When I think of eve I'm just thankful that there is a game intense and deep enough to stay interesting for 5 years. I expect the same will be true 5 years from now.
deviliscious: (PS. I have been told that when I use scientific language, it does not make me sound more intelligent, it only makes me sound like a jackass. It makes me appear that I am not knowledgable enough in the subject I am discussing to be able to translate it for people outside the field to understand. Some advice you might consider as well)

My experience with EVE left me with:
EVE: An interesting game that for some reason really doesn't want me to actually put time in and play it.
Objectivity is delivered with a lack of personality made for the mainstream but never used for the mainstream.

besides that CCP, for me, just deserves *Respect*
same 4 all
Two things come to mind:
- It is the best game Ive ever played
- It attracts most idiotic trolls of any games Ive ever plaed
Pod Kill.
ONE SERVER,ONE HUGE WORLD!
that make for livelly stuff on week-end
a couple of things:
-teeeedious traveling
-5000(?)+ systems, but basicly all are the same except for the color palette (planets about to be re-done though)
-horrible UI, rightclick-feast
-why called a "game" if you don't actually play, but only organize and watch it?
-make it that at least 2 characters on an account can train simultaneously and watch your "300k subs!!!11" dwindle into nothing
pretty screen saver
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....."
if we ignore the troll posts we got a good list of what usually ppl hate or love about eve
plz post more and if u can resume what eve means to you on a list or few words is better
BestSigEver :P

I just got done doing 23 spreadsheets at work and now I have to come home to, more spreadsheets?! Such a fun game.
ill go with something slightly unorthodox: when i hear eve online the first thing that comes to my mind is molasses running down a tree.
tactical HUGE ASS battles.
