5. Our language filter is now fully operational. ******in’s can now freely talk about their cl***
I love how the localization team is not only doing a pretty good job of communicating news and information as we ramp up to release, but also having fun while doing it. There have been so many great one liners in the notes and especially in the quest text that have had me laughing out loud...which makes me appreciate it all the more.
Kudos to the localization team for almost making me spew beverage all over my keyboard on this one.

Last I had seen in OB, it was "ass***in," which was all the more ridiculous. That is some classic stuff though.

I think only the OP could be remotely construed as ass kissing, but you saw your opening and went for it. For that, I salute and respect you.
It is good news, I don't like to be restricted by language, I like to fully express myself.
The day MMOs won't need a chat filter is the day I'll be playing UO2 on my $20k monster PC rig in heaven. Until then I'll still be trying to figure out how to /leave region 1 chat.

Is it just me, or do eastern MMOs have much stricter filters?
Was playing S.U.N. and if it determined you said anything even remotely unclean (nude and naked being examples) it would just completely remove the sentence.

Yes they are even more anal about those things than we Westerners are. An extremely popular MMO had to shut down its China servers because animated skeletons were considered alarming. . .

On a side note: Have you seen the NPC's that look exactly like the char's in LOTR's. There is also an NPC that is an umber elite Templar boss if attacked, His name is Maximus from the movie "Gladiator". A touch of humor in-game also it seems.

Ouch. I was only defending the honor of this thread and preventing additional trolling in one fell swoop. My motives may be unconventional, but they are indeed, genuine.
I don't come on here to make enemies, but I suppose through you, the cycle of seeing an opening has continued. I acknowledge that you feel that way, and apologize. Sadly, however, you seem to have surpassed Altairzq in distaste and taken his title of Lord Prickington.
It's obvious the filter was too strict, but still. i never noticed it, and do you know why? Because one of the first things i did in this and other games, was to go to options menu and disable Profanity Filters, just hate that stuff.
