"they" messed up so bad?
1.Release date
-We all knew it was sept. the 9th,but we didn't know the exact hour.Yes,continuously refreshing a page for a over 3 hours is annoying.
-No CSR cared to shed some light on this,that was very rude
-It's september the 10th and the F2P game is still not up
2.Registration
-Everybody was eager to register,but wait,another problem came up! "Your submission contained an error. Please try again. Code: #FTx "
I guess that there were a lot of people(like me) wanting to get support,but they couldn't register on the forums.Finally somebody pointed out this error: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=199216
The narrow-minded CSRs thought it was a browser related error,then they realised that it wasn't.
After that they asked if he's registering at http://www.ddo.com/playnow/ , wasn't that obvious?!The "need username?" link had another kind of error(expired session).
And finally,the CSRs told the poor mortal to submit a ticket.Oh,did I tell you that it takes 3 to 5 days for them to answer?
3.Conclusion
I will never bother to register again,goodbye DDO and thanks for giving me a headache.

Hm im sorry the games servers went live at 12 PM Central Time September 9th
The registration servers was down because they was getting the site prepared for launch. you had to register AT THEIR SITE www.ddo.com
It all works perfectly for me.
A MMO on launch day having problems? Color me surprised ;P I'll still give it a whirl. One day is nothing to get worked up about.
It worked perfectly for everyone I know. Try some patience next time or ask for help.

I am not sure what your issue was... but I (and my family) all started playing the F2P version yesterday. None of us had any problems.
I joined and registered yesterday without any issues either. The biggest issue right now on DDO is the server lag which should be fixed soon
And yes,I still cannot register.Some people said it could be an isp related issue;some say they used proxies and they still got that error,while others don't.
oh well,too much hassle for a little banausic game
Perhaps your reputation precedes you and they were proactive enough to block your registration? ( ' :>*
i registerd and downloaded the first day no problem
and the game went live very early..not much waiting for it to go live.

op their ddo.com site was down i think yesterday if im not mistaken but i couldnt say how long
went today at same place and once registered wich i thing should have a register here sign (but then thats just me)
everything went smooth game work fine no lag once i press the recommend graphic button wich every freaking game on computer should have.
on top of that if you got dx 10 this game is dx 10 ready and its now f2p
what could you ask more ?
hell ,if aion would just have worked 50 % smoother ,aion server would be close to full of tester instead of being close to empty
Should be fixed soon? You must be new to DDO if you believe that line. They have been saying that for about a year now.
wow dude you really need to take a few breaths.
First off they owe you nothing you didnt pay them a dime (I am assuming). Secondly this will probably be the best F2P game hands down. Thirdly a game having problems on launch day, thats unheard of. come on now let your nerd rage go.

Can you clarify if you mean Bioware's NWN (the generally single player, module based game) or AOL's NWN?
Worked perfectly for me and DLed in 1.5 hours. UHMMMM maybe the problem was at your end? Did mine at 11pm PST. on the 9th games great for ftp lots of peeps to team with.

You can get a prduct key mailed to you from Turbine.
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
they will send in 3 - 5 days i did it 5 days ago and still waiting if anybody create account named emrecan0012 for me my problem will be solved pls do it you will do it in 1 minutes
I have just registered and have near downloaded the game, I am really looking forward to giving this game a fair shot.
It seems its the only game atm that is not being pronounced as being a epic fail and all the other rubbish that seems to be the fashion these days.
I downloaded the game before the official f2p launch. Once the f2p was go - as in I heard at least one other person had joined - I simply went and signed up at the ddo site. After launching the game, I entered the username and pass I had selected and off I went. There wasn't any need for a product key at any point.
