Light vs dark(PVP thread)

in Star Wars: The Old Republic

IMO a mmorpg of SWG will need PVP, this is what the movies were based on(combat) and lets be honest if all we played it for was PVE, then we would buy a single player game.

 

 

 

Did they mention any type of PVP, and is it all going to like 5v5 crap, no conquest/politics involved?

 

No bases to hold/take?

 

I mean what is bioware seeing, They seen WOW make a sht ton more money then them with 1 game vs 7 and now want to do it, but are not going about it the right way.

 

Why not just say Online Star wars game, where you can CO -OP just like a single player game, but with instance, because instancing makes the immersion feel like a mmorpg. /sarcasm

 

I think it won't last after 5-6 months.

     MMORPG of SWG? SWG was a mmorpg. I'll assume you meant the Star Wars universe. It's already been mentioned, plenty of times, that it will have PvP. On what scale that is uncertain. Just have to wait for more information to come up.
    The movies were not based on just combat, or war. It had more meaning to it. People can often find a personal meaning/feeling after watching the original movies. If all you got was combat, you should look deeper.

     How exactly did you get to that? Kotor was the perfect IP to be turned into a MMO. I don't think it really had to do with the success Blizzard has had with WoW. And I'm not sure what you mean about going about it the right way. Care to elaborate?
