I pre-Ordered, got the digital download, installed and ready to go.... but I was trawling different forums and heard stuff like ..
A) Pre-selection starts Friday 8:00pm ( GMT) i.e. for 2 days until the sunday you can only log in and play about with yer character and get yer name early... but no gameplay till sunday..
pre-ordered serials need to be replaced by the 25th after a grace period with retail keys ? .. I assumed that if you have a ncsoft account and you pre-oordered, it was bound to your account negating the need for a retail serial key as it was a digital download? Does that mean we just re-enter the key we were sent ?
Can anyone shed any light on this ?

you gotta ask the people who u bought ur preorder off to send u the acutally cd codes on the 22nd of sept over the email
I just hope Gamestop sends me my codes before the 25th, or I'm doomed, if they don't then I supposed I have already created my character and probably won't have to worry.
Ok feel like a numpty ....... the distinction is as follows.
I pre- purchaced the game and the answer to my own question was as follows.
Since a "prepurchase" is basically a full retail serial code - when the game goes live, your prepurchase account will automatically convert to a full retail game account. You do not have to add any additional codes or make any additional serial code purchases.
I started the post with Pre-order which is entirly different
The pre-order code is not a full retail serial code. When the game launches, you will still have to go back to the retailer to obtain your retail copy of the game, and then upgrade that pre-order game account you created with the full retail serial code that comes in your Aion game box.
