good PvP MMO

Moldy2Moldy2 Member Posts: 73

I've tried a lot of different MMO's (mostly P2P), and I'm really looking for a good PvP game....

I've tried WAR and i'm playing WoW on and off, I'm thinking about Champions online, but I'm not sure...

What's a good PvP MMO? thanks!

If you are looking for duels and matches, then WAR and WOW seem decent.

If you are looking for FFA PVP, then check out UO and EVE.

If you are looking for large scale sieges and massive battles, Lineage 2 and EVE Online offer plenty of that.

If you are looking for diplomacy and politics with your combat, check out EVE.

If you want pure non-stop PvP, check out Combat Arms, Guild Wars, Wolf Team and Exteel.

Those are just some examples for each type of PVP. There are plenty more types and there are plenty more games that are good examples of each.

Quite frankly, despite it's perceived flaws, Darkfall is pretty good PvP.

If you are looking for scenarios I'd stick with WoW and WAR who have the best.

Champions Online, (from beta) was just a cage match and really dull and repetitive after a short period.

Also, Aion is supposed to have some killer PvP.

Right, thanks for the responses, now what I was really looking for was a game that you can jump into PvP relatively quickly, somewhat like WAR and EVE can do... Is there any other game that is like that?

Well, in Guild Wars, you can create a level 20 PVP character, and you unlock various skills and heroes through PVP. And, though I've never tried the PVP there myself, I've heard people say that Guild Wars is extremely balanced in terms of PVP as well.

    Main characters:
    Jinn Gone Quiet (Guild Wars)
    Princess Pudding (Guild Wars)

You might like the Free Leagues in Atlantica Online. ^^

I am simply myself, no more and no less. And I only want to be free.

atlantica is a good pvp mmo, the catch is it's a turn based game,

but the big factor in this game is that you really need to have a good strategy to win, so it's really fun for a turn based mmo

There's of course Age of Conan. Great combat, and less gear  dependent than ie WoW, so you don't have to twink your toon to have a fighting chance in pvp. It's ffa, so leveling can be tough on a pvp server. I think they still offer a 14 day trial, so you can check it out without it costing any.
