So I played this game 2 years ago and got my character up to 3.5 SP, but I've pretty much forgot everything about the game so don't really remember what I was going for. Anyway, I would like to try and specialize and get a T2 ship, but not sure which I should go for. I'm assuming it would be cruiser, BC or BS, possibly a destroyer but probably not. My question is, which of these types of ships are most in demand in corporations and which can I obtain reasonably fast?

I want to be able to do PvP and missions/ratting. Right now I'm thinking of trying to be able to run Heavy Interdictor and Heavy Assault ship. Interdictor to be useful in PvP and Assault for all three. If I wanted to make money doing missions/ratting, would I need to go BS to take on bigger game or would a Heavy Assault ship be viable?

Start with T1 frig, get some PVP experience. Then train for interceptors.

good advice, learn to pvp in a ship that you can afford to lose like water. because thats what will happen.

Also, dont forget to keep your sp clone updated so you dont lose precious time spent on training your skills.

focusing your training toward HIC and HAC's is never a bad thing :) but as others have said, learning PVP has very little to do with flying or training for the best ship. The most important thing by far (IMHO) is finding a good group of people to fly with. 7 to 12 active players that are on at the same time and dedicatied to roaming PVP is what you have to have. With this the rest will fall into place. Use T1 then T2 frigs as a starting point.
