You're a little late, this was already posted, and if the forum search worked I'd link to the posting.

honestly its probably necessary
its safe to say im addicted to the internet
has it really gotten so bad they have to create a rehab center for it? well you really cant notice the time when youre surfing anyway. its like being in a casino... there's always something to do there
i think this site shows that this is probably necessary, especially when you read through a lot of the posts.

this section is loosely moderated anyway so even if you have same topics, as long as there are people conversing in it, itll stay
All I use the net for is news, my emails, going on a few forums etc etc. Social networking for me is a complete load of garbbage and waste of time tbh.
We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.
wow, is it really that addicting? i thought it was only for mmo games that people are addicted too..is it really that bad?
When EQ1 came out, people were extremely addicted to it, lot's of people lost relationships, their jobs, etc; the one thing though, I don't remember if SOE ever said how many subscribers it had with EQ1.

Lately, I got cut off the internet for about two weeks. On one hand, I found easily how to spend my time without the net and missed it mostly for speaking with my folks back home through Skype, On the other hand, one of my replacement activity was console gaming, and I was still anxious to go back online to my favourite MMOs... And I'm better than a few years back.
So, yeah, I can understand internet addiction.
Internet is all entertainment rolled in one: films, games, news, documentaries, chatting with friends, chatting around a common interest... no wonder some people can't get their heads out of their screen.
Haha, I went to high school with that Ben Alexander, had German with him for 3 years.
Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man. -- Bertrand Russell
Wow! And to think a rehabilitation center for gaming addicts has also opened in Amsterdam.
I am simply myself, no more and no less. And I only want to be free.
