Collector's Edition on the 22nd?

Does anybody know if any retailers like Best Buy or Target  will have collector's editions on release day?  I didn't pre order one and I was going to try and grab one early on the 22nd. Anybody have any info? I remember I was able to pick up a collectors edition of AoC from Best Buy on release day...

    Not sure, It might depend on the retailer and when they get there shipments in.  People have been getting them via on-line orders, even players from AUS:  www.aionsource.com/forum/images-art-video-sound/54099-youve-got-mail.html

    I may stop by gamestop today and see if my pre order came in yet.  There is a bestbuy next door so I'll pop in there and check.

    The Official Collector's edition that included the figurine have been sold out.  I don't think you will be able to find a boxed version of that at a local store.  You can still buy it from NCSoft or Gamestop by digital download (no book, figure, etc.  Get in game items though), but they've ran out of boxes as I see it.

     

    So if you're looking for a box version, you might be able to find a regular edition...  But even Amazon knows they won't get any more boxed collector's editions.  They be gone unless you want to ebay it for some silly price that's totally not worth it.  If I were you, I'd save the dough and get a regular version at this point.  It's the same game.  Just minus these:

    •Black Cloud Wings (+40 seconds of additional flight time; available at level 30)

    •Black Cloud Earring (+72 HP and +72 MP; available at level 20)

    •Special character title ("Settler of Aion™ ") with stat boost

    •Color dye (Rich Purple) to tint ten in-game items

    •Two additional character emotes (Aion™ Boogie and Hip Hop)

     

    I don't expect any of them to be useful except the wings.

    Also, if you decide you to want the special in game items that you get with the Collectors Edition, you have up til a month after launch to buy an upgrade key from the NCSoft store that can be applied to a standard edition.  This will unlock those items for you.  It's a $10 upgrade.

    I was trying to get the CE as well.  I had pre-ordered the SE  from gamestop in hopes of getting a CE... which doesn't look like its going to happen, so I went ahead and bought the upgrade.  The upgrade is now waiting in my NCSoft master account until I can enter my SE key.

    If you buy the regular box, you can upgrade it for $10 via the NClauncher / account site.

    Just buy collectors box digitally from the official site. U get the serial in 1 sec that way. Cheers!
