soloing epic/fellowships...

Hello,

I've played my hunter to lvl 40. It's been fun, but I hate needing to wait so long to run the fellowship quests...especially the storyline quests. I'm just wondering if a warden, which I've read is great at soloing, would be any better in these situations. Is it worth starting over? If the warden wouldn't be any different, is there another class you would recommend?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Wardens are certainly better soloers than hunters.  They can solo some things that few other classes can handle.  However, there are still particular book quests you simply will not be able to get through on your own on any character.  Not even if you level to 60 and go back to them.  At 60 you can get through a lot of them in two and three man parties, but you won't be able to do any better than that.

It's by design.  Some of the content in the game has to be locked off to soloers, or players would have no incentive to group at all.  If you could solo anything in the game, it would kill the community.  Players would have no incentive to meet other players, and there would be little reason for guilds to exist.

Note that you don't actually have to do all the book quests to see a lot of them.  For example, if you get to Moria a new series of book quests begins that you can solo for at least 2.5 chapters.  Some of those are among the best solo quests in the game, imo.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

    Thanks a lot!

I'm going to try out a warden tonight.  I'm tired of skipping around in the story, and with  a warden it seems I'll be doing a lot less of that.

    Thanks again!
