Wake me up if I am dreaming but hasn't this patch been live for a week and how is it I am the first to mention this ;-)
While there's no big new thing and incredible new stuff and no useless features that make people dream...
Those changes were really useful.
Started the amarr epic arc, and some missions do hurt a lot my usual L4 ship (an absolution).
Sized rigs is a thing I was waiting for, now I'll be able to rig inties and assault frigates without any second thoughts (I felt like adding twice more than the ship and fitting price in rigs was a bit awkward).
And it fixed the graphic glitch of the warp, when you see the time you spend in warp, it was really needed!
Seriously CCP can do no wrong right now. I have a ton of respect for these guys.
While I may only sub to eve from time to time I still think its fabulous.

The rig thing is nice for those new players, like me.

The rig sizes is good for everyone, it's not because I'm part of the older players that I want to spend that much in a frigate/cruiser size ship. (I did rig some, but really, I found it too expensive, I limited myself to rigging HAS, recons and command ships on a regular basis and other ships was exceptional)
Now, we have to wait and see if the small and medium rig prices stabilize at some 'proper' level, knowing the materials to build them should be 1/5 of the large for the medium and 1/25 for the small. I didn't check myself how they rounded the values and what should be the exact cost of them...
Anyway, if we aren't satisfied with he small and medium size rigs price, as the cost for building some of those smaller rigs is quite low, it would allow some newer players to get into the rigs industry, which is another benefit of having smaller things. I hope to see the market at work with many new salvagers, producers and sellers for the rigs.
Did they fix the sound? You know... so that you can actually hear more than every 20th missile you fire and not getting drowned out by the hum of your shield hardeners?
I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
yep...sounds were also fixed. Have to admit the EVE sounds got better.
I don't care about reviews, the opinions of others matters not. I play a game and if its great I keep playing it.
I am in my sixth year of playing Eve-Online, and every few months after getting ganked or a big loss, I look around for something else to play, but NOTHING comes close.
Combat is based on Science and math, not on the random number generator. There are physics behind every bullet or laser shot, as well as missles. Resistances are based on mechanical principles, not some contrived mumbo jumbo. Damage types are ingeniously thought out and the balances between combat between mixed fleet gangs is almost a real world mix of varieties that peak around average, instead of the usual extreme character/combat differences (Like magic users vs fighters vs thieves vs priests).
In Eve, you can work to any skill.
You have to invest real time into a skill training (I am completing a 40-day training at the moment, Black Ops to level five). Like real world pilots, not everyone is TopGun.
Eve is closer to a flight simulator with an economic game on the side than a person vs person combat game. You have to learn many details to play intelligently. Frankly, the Mensa test is easier.
Six years, and still not any game in the world that even comes close.
Good thing I can afford to pay by the year!
