Which faction are you choosing and what age range do you fall under?
There has been a bit of bickering as to which side will appeal to what age demographic. Below is a poll, please vote and help us clear this issue up :P.

Im 21 and going to play elyos ranger, atleast thats what my plan is.
All my friends are playing elyos, and i always played the "dark'ish" factions, or skins in pre. mmo's.

15-19 ? Are you saying that a 19 year old has the same mentallity of a 15 year old? Rofl.
I'm a 19 year old uni student, turning 20 next month, and most of my friends are 20+ years old.
If you are trying to figure out if the younger audience prefers one side over another, then you need to make the poll more detailed. Simply saying 15-19 and 20-29 etc proves nothing. Hell a 23 year old can seem like an immature shit compaired to a 28 year old.
Finally, there are only so many Aion players on mmorpg, so your poll will have an insignificant numbers which won't prove anything for certain. However, if you must do a poll and make it somewhat accurate, then you should instead do an Elyos vs Asmondean poll, and make sure that the test focuses solely on mmorpg.com players.
I also sense that you're more interested in seeing if the younger audience prefer the Asmodean vs the Elyos, so why not do a poll that focuses on them ?

Your point is moot . . . everyone knows people under the age of 20 have the mentality of their shoe size.
On a more serious note, you are only allowed a limited number of slots on this forum for polls. The way it is laid out will give a general idea of what age groups prefer which side. It really has nothing to do with age since some people can be 40 years old and still act like a child fresh out of gradeschool. And lets face it there is now way anything scientifically accurate will ever come out of these forums.

And a 15 year old can be much more mature than a 21 year old. And a 19 year old can take him or her self much too seriously as do younger teens which tends to show a bit of immaturity.
That is not the point of the poll, it's more for fun than anything else. Relax mate and have a cuppa :P.

Ok this makes me curious. Because it seems that so far based upon the results that (much like WoW) the mature players seem to go for the "darker" or "less popular" side of the coin when it comes to choosing sides in an MMO.
Well it's not overwhelming or anything taking a second look at the results but I think that will be the trend especially considering my guild and rival guilds and my friends that will be playing. The majority of them who are 30+ are going Asmo

2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

I'm 44, and I've enjoyed mmos for years, usually I find I'm the oldest guy in my guild/group/team whatever - Buddy I'll still be playing MMOs when I'm 77, hellz yeah!
