Preselection, forget it!
Not many will be able to use the preselection today! Why? Because the launcher patch like a 14.4 modem. Finally Ive managed to get some data on to my harddrive. With the current speed (468 hours remaining) I wont even be ready for the headstart. This is sooooo silly. I think they better fix a way to downlad the client/patch in an other way than by the launcher.

Well the thing is that Ive only have the fileplanet client. An that is 1.5.0.1....Im now downloading 622 mb til the version 1.5.0.5. I guess you ppl who was updated at last beta-test are cool to go an do the preselection. But it will be a pain for all when we have to download the final launchpatch.
same with me, i'm still on version 1.505

I didn't have a problem with mine it downloaded in a few seconds. you might try closing and restarting your launcher.
Took me like half an hour
Click the little arrow to the right of the word Aion in your launcher and select update...that switched to full download speed rather than trickle speed

Hes talking about the launcher patch to 1.5.13.3 not the game patch
It's not that bad ...iam downlaoding the game right now ,and i have got 8% in 40 min @378kb/sec .It is times like this i wish i had cable...lol.

Well I have "Trickle downloading" and its reaaaal slow I can tell u. Any idea what I can do?

A matter of fact I most often get the message that I cant connect to update sever, and those few times I can I get Trickle downloading.
thats like that on last sunday so, I just kept on trying till it went through

umm, it updated me to 15.5 in like 30 secs. I'd take a look at what patch your clients sitting at in the launcher options.
Ok, so u kept selecting "Check for update" over and over?
mm i got a 10 mb /sec speed
and if it hasnt chqange here how it dl
it start very slow and speed up to abou 1mb /sec but only if if you dont use internet if you do use internet it slows back down to snail pace

mm your probably having the level3 or the other problem since you dont have that patched yet wow try to find a buddy that has dl it and use his doesnt really mather you have to use your account
hate to rub it in Blupp, but in DLed in seconds here as well from the UK...
Hmmmm I have news. I tried using my mobile-broadband and its downloading without problem. Hmm what might be the problem with my primary bould it be router? Havent had probs with it before.
What is it you exactly what??? A Modem and Wireless Router? Or a Modem and direct connect to the back of the computer? And what exactly do you have dial up, DSL, or Cable?
For some reason my computer is having trouble connecting to the patch server. Doesn't make any sense, I'll try it again and hope that it works. I really hope that I can get into the preselect today, I mean I am missing school after all.
I have adsl.......an adsl-modem...and to that I have a router connected. I have my laptop on the lower floor in my house and I have another comp right by the modem/router. Both computer cant download. But now Ive tried the mobile.broadband on my laptop and it works.
