Simple Questions regarding Head-Head Start

It was my understanding that the "Head Start" was to begin on Sunday, September 20th.

If there was to be a "Head-Head Start", as it appears there was for "Charcter Selection", if you know, can you share how any person who pre-ordered would have known this?

Any way, it appears like a difficult start for guilds trying to be together and fight certain other guilds.

    It's been mentioned a few times, and it was posted on Aion's news section on their website a few days ago.

    Actually its been posted for weeks now.  (The details were posted on the 14th, but the fact there would be a pre-select prior to head start for Server and Character name has been known)  Perhaps visit www.aiononline.com

    More Details on Preselection

    Aion's release is right around the corner, and our anticipation is running high! The beards and hairstyles of the character creator are groomed and lined up, jostling against each other in eagerness to be picked for your characters in this coming weekend's Preselection and Head Start Programs.

    Preselection is a benefit available to anyone who preordered Aion. If you are not sure whether or not you are eligible, simply log in to your NCsoft Master Account to verify that your game account is listed and your account type is not designated as "Beta".

    Starting 12:00 p.m. PDT (more) on September 18, 2009, eligible players will be able to start their game clients and log in to create a total of two characters ahead of everyone else. You can name and create these two characters through the standard character creator and be ready to play with these characters right when the game Head Start Program begins (but not beforehand). Preselection will end 9:00 a.m. PDT on September 20, 2009 (more).

    Don't miss this great opportunity to claim your character's name before anyone else does. It isn't too late to preorder, even if you have been holding out.

    The head-head start you are speaking of is the Pre-selection (the 18th) that allows you to setup 2 characters and select their names prior to the head start launch on the 20th. It is mainly for guilds, people wanting to make sure they reserve the name they want and  for making sure they get on the same server as their friends. As far as how would people know about it? Well its been on all the gaming forums with post  in the thousands since June of this year. Its been on the front page of the AION site for ages. I hope that answers your questions.     Cool.   Thanks all.

    My guild never mentioned it, so had no idea.   Frankly, I'm not going to get worked up over any of this.    What will be, well, will be -)

    This is intended to be a 2nd game played casually if time permits.   Nice to not get caught up on the pre-launch angst.

    Good luck and hope all find a lot of fun in this new world.
