The Aion Wings for Guild wars

nukedudenukedude Member Posts: 101

Hi everyone,

I pre-ordered the game, and bought the Collector's Edition and got a key for the Aion wings in Guild Wars, and I rly like em. Tho, my little brother is fascinated by them as well, and would like to have them also. He's 12 yrs old, and doesnt have much money to buy an edition that features such an accescode. Is there a kind soul in here who is not planning on using the key, and willing it to give it to my little brother? If yes, please send me a PM. (Sry for the begging... ^^")

Thnx in advance guys!

If u bought the collector's edition of Aion, u should have gotten a key to gain an emote in Guild wars that let's ur character show a pair of wings. The steelbox edtition of Aion has such a code as well, tho the "ordinary" versions don't have it.

thnx for the reply tho ^^

That's the problem; I bought the Collector's Edition from aionline.com, and I don't remember getting any code for the wings, otherwise I'd give it to you :(

Same here son: bought the Collector's Edition and all I have is the case with the card in it, with the code on it.... Is it supposed to be written somewhere I don't know, or in my Master's Account informations? I would gladly give it to the little sunshine so he can enjoy it.

Am I missing something anyway? Is there multiple ''versions'' of the Collector's Edition or what???

U can check wether it is the code for the wings; if the code ends with the block XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-6QD2C then it is a cod for the wings. At least, that's what I can make up out of the details of the code that I entered, and the info that I got back from NC Soft.

And there are no different versions of the Collector's edition, except maybe for the Steelbox edition, but it's supposed to be released later, so I guess it's not available yet. The steelbox version is not to be contan more then the collector's edition, just a nice box with the ingame items from the collector's, so no extra poster, and no figurine :p

Thnx for the help in any way! ^^

i think i remember reading back when they accounced the guild wars wings that in order to get them you needed a guild wars account and aion to both be under the same ncsoft master account. I'd also give you the code, but I never received one. I even have guild wars, but its seperate from the account with aion.

I guess u talk about when you bought the CE through a digital download? But it's true that u need a guild wars account before u can use the code

And thnx for the reply :)

well i don't know how to explain it better but what i'm trying to say is not everyone gets the guild wars wing emote. You needed to have guild wars already under a ncsoft account and then using the same one, you preorder the aion ce. It's an exclusive for guild wars players that pre-ordered aion.

And technically I should get one because i have guild wars and aion pre-ordered BUT I made a new NCsoft account when i preordered aion. So they do not know that i have both games...

I could be wrong about this but that's what i recall reading when it was announced.

None of us with digital copies got one... -_-

EDIT: I'm wrong, as they note that has changed. Here is the text from the Guild Wars support page linked above:

Q: I purchased a digital copy of Aion (for example, from the NCsoft store or from the Steam online store). How do I get the Aion wings emote on my Guild Wars account?

A: Players who purchase digital copies of Aion are now eligible for the Aion wings emote, too! After you've applied your Aion serial key to your NCsoft account, contact our support team by October 22nd with your NCsoft account name. Keys will be sent out to qualified players after September 20th.

So, none of us who ordered digitally can help OP, but we can still email or open a ticket with support. There's a time limit, though, and they start sending them out tomorrow!

lol someone beat me too it.

There are a lot of other people that play guild wars that would love to get a pair of wings to flash, but are still holding out until guild wars 2 :p

If you got a code for the wings, I can offer some guild wars items (though you probably don't play if you're giving them away) or some real money (is that allowed?).

This is the one thing I did not like with the launch so I will post here.  There are TOO many different versions of the game that are released.  There are only two versions, one be steel something or other, that allow you to have guild wars wings for your guild wars characters.

In GW type in /Aion when your character is online and you will get wings.

I complained about this earlier as I bought the Collectors Edition through NCSoft (digital purchase).  We do not get the wings.  What they should do is release the wings as a perk in Guild Wars that you can buy at the store.  That would clear this up.

Opps nevermind,!  I am adding to this post.  See the link in this post.  Contact tech support for your wings.  Sorry.

    Here is the actual post:
