Title is a piece from what could be accurate info from teh next famitsu issue.
This make me wonder, how combat will be more strategic.
will there be weknesses to armor on certain sides of your body,
do certain attacks or spells hit harder on certain sides? do they have target areas of the body?
Is there some sort of body conditioning in this game for all sides?

I hope they also take into account attacks from higher or lower elevations. (giving a bonus, or penalty to procs/stats/etc...
That would be awesome. Who needs jumping when you have that?
That would be kool but im also looking for a way that you can attach diffrentent limb on the body implementing damage to them. lets say for example: Mobs has a attack that spews fire maybe if you hit the head enough you can temporarly stun or w/e. Now imagine this function being implemented on diffrent spells or even attacks on parts of the mob's body. This would add a wholel new strategy to the game.

Given FF11 has such functions (ie. Blaze Spikes or armor/wpns that inflict added damage and/or effects) and can be easily ported into FF14 gameplay, don't see a problem with it happening. Armor weakness based on position would be nice to see. Would also be interesting to see if they developed armor "realism" a bit more where after taking excessive damage, it would need to be repaired helping in-turn crafters.
I agree especially with rangers or anyone using a range weapon. If they are on a high platform their damage should get a lil boost just like in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Makes me wonder if we will be seeing sneak attack and trick attack again

Yea, I was going to say that we already had this to a degree with THF. We also sorta had it with RNG after the ideal distance nerf didn't we?(I quit about a month before that nerf happened so I'm not positive on that one)
