This is no intent of compareing FFXI or FFXIV. But i just want to show that SE are very capable to make a great looking world.
A lot of MMORPGer doesn't care about little details, and i played this game since retail have hardly notices these little things that make it look so great.
Something you might be able to "see" or "find" maybe in FFXIV that will be similar. I hope SE keep up the good job making little things appearing

Thank's for sharing, I never really got into FFXI, so I'm hoping to start fresh with XIV.
FFXI has so much character. I used to chalk it up to something intangible, and maybe I still partially do, but you've just proved how much gusto and depth this game really has.
I really can't wait to see what they do with FFXIV. I have a feeling people are going to be absolutely blown away by the weather effects, and the immersion of each individual zone, as it's going to really feel like it's a living, breathing world.
