Well, the main complain so far is the long queues on some servers. Long as in hours long. Luckily my EU based server had single digit queues the past two days.
The game is ok. I mean I know it's not saying much but thats all I really have to say about it. It's a fun game, good graphics, good overall atmosphere but it really brings nothing new to the table at all. Now granted I'm only lvl 10 but thats just what I see so far. The game just hasnt really impressed me much at all. Things can always change tho my friend.

Its the same as in the beta, since its the same game=) The only difference is the queues, which of course will go away over the next few weeks.
Pros: Great art, great animation, great combat, great character customization(visual), polished, lots of quests, solo and group play, intutitve, wings, rift PvP, The Abyss
Cons: Linear smallish world/zones, no swimming, invisible walls, some grinding, LAME starter zones, 2 nearly identical racial choices, very little character customization(STATS), truly untested endgame with hazy info and balance issues(expected), rift ganking. An endless tug-O-war over zone control is nothing really new, potential faction population imbalances, PvE dungeons are a bit behind the curve, You've basically seen it all before. Private Store MORONS!!! UI customization NOT up to snuff.
AION has launched well. 7 out of 10 I'd say. It will take them a few weeks to figure out growth curve and server load. Waiting to login better be a temporary solution though. I will not play a game that I have to wait 15-30 min to login. Americans are way to impatient for that.
On another note, There is something huge that I would like to see them improve. The webpage needs a section listing REALTIME information regarding servers in game issues. right now the servers are down, and there is nothing on the website about it. This is not good for their image.

Regarding faction population imbalance: that is what the Balaur race are for, to keep one side from endlessly dominating ( see Warhammer). Hopefully it will work.
I've never understood the point of PC shops and never will. Totally useless compared to an AH. One of those, nice on paper, terrible in practice features that just needs to die.
Yeah it's pretty full on, that pic isn't of me, I am not on my gaming PC, but that's how it is.
A guildie was told his que was eight hours last night, we changed server but now are worried what will happen after the free month runs out, will we be on a ghost server?
It must be tricky for NCsoft to juggle, but it all seems a little crazy right now.

I've got to agree with you there. House sales/AH/Broker etc is the way forward.

Alot of the games put more servers than needed on launch and then just merge them 1/2 months in.

That's the theory we are going with, seems the most reasonable course of actions.
Right now it is turning people off though, so hopefully NC won't take too long!
+ Coolest visual monster design of any MMORPG I've played.
+ Amazing visuals overall, which makes it a very interesting world to explore.
+ Grouping is actually useful while leveling!
- No advancement choices so far apart from the limited gear-based ones.
- Concerned about a few abilities I have which are near-identical, but just different enough to force me to keep both on my hotbar. Indistinct abilities sort of waters things down.
- Camera contol irritates me with minor bugs.

It's not live in Europe yet (seeing that you're from UK). Still on pre-launch until the 25th.
Well the western game is live in areas. Doesnt need to be a British review :P

So its basically not a game to come running to unless your bored of your current mmo?

Four hour ques here (UK) and when logged in we are faced with AFK 'shops'.
