But I want to thank some of you for your honest and mature feedback about this game. I liked what I read so I took the plunge,  and much to my surprise, I'm am loving this game! It reminds me of the old days when playing Asheron's Call. Thankfully it's not another WoW clone and it leans to more of the old-school hardcore mmo gamer's expectations. It's definitely not without its flaws, but all mmos right out of the gate go through this. Here's to hoping for regular updates, because I can definitely see this becoming a memorable mmo.

On a side note, part of me is glad that this game kind of crept its way out because the community doesn't seem like it's made up with a bunch of 13 yo jackanapes. I hope they stay with WoW and Aion.

From what Ive heard in from players in the beta the devs actually listen, so I'm sure if there's any wide range problem that alot of people are vocal about, it would be quickly dealt with. BTW Im getting it this weekend after I get paid, the wait is killing me ><

The thing about this game is at first you have this feeling like "what the hell is this?" and it feels kind of clunky and you have little control (at least that's how I felt), but if you give it time, you start to realize that it can get very deep, and has the feeling of an mmo that doesn't cater to the "casual" crowd (which is a good thing, IMO).

I don't see how the game is harsh for casuals. I enjoyed it as a nice change of pace and I think casuals could get into it. When I was playing it I was so busy exploring and getting mats  I didn't care I was not gaining exp in a rush to some usual raid centered epeen circle jerk.

Its not about the pace of leveling that doesnt make it very casual friendly. Its things like the no direction and no respecs they would typically not like.

Exactly. Also, casual gamers tend to play class-based games (i.e. Healer, Tank, etc) whereas this type of game allows more mixing of skills. So the risk of creating a gimped build is fairly high if you don't know what you're doing. The casual gamer would end up whining about it on the forum instead of 'thinking' about how to make a better build for their play style.
