being 100% honest and unbias, that is the best CGI trailer in any MMO i've ever seen.
Not being an offline FF player, i am very excited for the story/cut scenes alone now.
PS: Is it just me or is there not any info about Beta as they said in the trailer on their site.?
What I get from the video is that they will announce the beta through their newsletter. I wonder if they are no longer in alpha at this point.
^Most likely still in it, but prolly towards the end.
I heard that only JP's got a newsletter for Beta sign-ups. I could be wrong.

Yep it looks great. This is really a dream come true. FFXI has always been my favorite MMO and since I left it to try and find something new and better... nothing has ever lived up to FFXI... so yeah I can't wait and the video looks amazing.
Yes, the trailer is beautiful. I can't wait to explore the world of Eorzea.

Yes it will be the best looking MMORPG to date,best trailer i ever saw however was one for MU online.I still noticed the Galkan had a glue on hair do ,no detail there at all,i did see some hi res textures and shader work in many scenes.
I hope the game play is as good as the looks will be,and fore most ,i hope it will play like an open world MMORPG.I say this because it gives me the feeling of a totally linear console game.Goto guildleve get your next quest,go to certain instance ,complete it,rinse and repeat.I feel the only fighting in the open world ,will be enroute to your next quest,imo the open world will have a very small bearing on the game.
I hope they have implemented nice drops in the open world,this will give the game a realistic look,otherwise we will seenothing but lines of players all following each other from quest to quest.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

This is the same trailer that has been out for a few months now. It was shown this past summer at the big gaming show, (I forgot what it was called). I thought there was a new one out, you got me all excited for nothing.
