I have played and am still playing several mmorgs ... aside from the game there is an important part to the game = Customer Service.
In every game EQ1, EQ2, SWG, WOW, DAOC, AC, AO, etc, etc, etc, ... the Customer Service is not there.
If you have a problem - in almost every case - the standard answer is " ... that is not something we can help you with ... "
I am sorry - but a reply from a call for help is NOT Customer Service. These games are great - but could be sooo much better where their CS would just HELP the players vs " sorry we cannot help you in this matter ..." - again ... the reply is NOT Customer Service.
Even after calling the main office for technical support - the reply is almost always " we have in game GM's to help you ... please make contact with him and he can help you " ... NOT!!
OK - So What ever happened to Good Customer Service??

And Daoc's when they came out with SI
I feel that some people take advantage of Customer Service. I rarely use Customer Support, but when I do I almost anlways get a response, except in Planetside, which the Customer Service is absolute shi,t but thats SOE as usual, however I find that the GM's in WoW are pretty useful (just this morning I got stuck in a location, and I found myself moved when I logged back on after playing on a diff character.).

I always had trouble contacting with Sony customer service, but they would, sooner or later, be able to fix my problem, it would just take abit of time for both of us to actually figure out what the actual problem was. The game was much better, in my opinion, when Varant was still involved, but either way, I didnt have too much trouble with them. patience is a virtue
I bite myself for saying this
but the game with the best customer service I've ever played....was lineage 2.

Well, what would be worse, no reply from customer service or if they outsource it to some country which doesn't speak english and just has a script of questions to ask and listings of things for you to try with no rhyme or reason to it.
Customer: "My MMORPG is crashing."
Service: "Ok, first I want you to turn off your printer."
Customer: "Huh? I don't have a printer."
Service: "Oh, well maybe that's your problem?"
Customer: "WTF are you talking about?? Why do I need a printer??"
Service: "Says here on my documentation you need to turn off your printer and then reboot...."
Yea, hmm.. I think I might take the "no reply".
Haha, funny customer service!!!
Which game CS is that!!!
Must of the time I dun even get a reply from the Customer Service!!!
