Will there be a free trial?

Fal0Fal0 Member Posts: 22

Hi all,

just want to know if there will be a free trial for this game when it launches.

I just quit wow and I am willing to try this one..

Off topic: for those of you that are concerned about the 300 hours limit per month.  I don't think it is that bad, as a matter of fact, it can help me manage my time better.  10 hours per day "should" be enough for a normal person.  Don't u think?

When I edit something, its for grammar. (edited)

I'm not sure if there is going to be a trial.  What I do know is the 300 hour limit is only for Korea.  NA/EU will have no limit.

They said there will be a preview event.

NC soft have trials for all their games ('cept maybe Guildwars who doesnt have monthly fees) so they will surely have a free trial. It will probably take some time before it starts however (a fe months) but it seems like they will have an open beta before launch where you ca play it.

It seems like south korea have a law saying max 300 hours a month, that only concerns SK and all games there. As far as I know SK is the only place where MMO players actually plays until they die on regular basis.

Don't really trust companies like NCSoft, so I don't want to purchase the game before I try it. I do hope they come out with a trial soon.

From what I see, this is just shaping up to be WoW/with/wings, so no rush.

300 hours is a pricing system used for Asia, not NA or EU.  So dont even think about that option.

the have release some trial version key, when I pre-order key, and I have got a free one! but I've never know NCsoft will offer free trial!

Free trials eventually exist for every game even WoW!... the thing is when a game is successful like AION is and will continue to be the free trial will be delayed much like WoWs. Sure someone can troll me about AIONs success but how many games refuse to release extra servers so they don't have to worry about merging but end up releasing extra servers anyways due to demand.

1st they want to earn 9999999999999999999999999999999 Trillion of bucks before they give out a Trial, simple and easy.

dont expect a Trial in the next 6-12 Month if the game sells good.

In times of horrible releases a trial should be standard and not 50 Euro for a boxed bugged game...

Well Guild Wars does have a trial, or at least they did. I can place money on the fact that they will make a trial for AION. you can't not.

Played - M59, EQOA, EQ, EQ2, PS, SWG[Favorite], DAoC, UO, RS, MXO, CoH/CoV, TR, FFXI, FoM, WoW, Eve, Rift, SWTOR, TSW.
    Playing - PS2, AoW, GW2

Well lets hope they release Friend Codes for the game, once they get the server situation fully under control. I have a lot of friends playing this game, but haven't had the chance to pick up a copy myself, hopefully soon.

I've already invested my time and money into World of Warcraft. If I can't try this new game, then I can't find out if it's worth throwing away my investment. Sixty-five dollars before I can even start playing is not an investment I want to make if I've already got my time and money invested into another MMORPG. It's not just WoW, it's any online game you might be tossing your money at.

...but I already time and money invested in FFVII why would I buy any other.... ? Come on that has to be the lamest reason to need a free trial I have ever heard.. I can't afford it.. I can understand.. don't want to pay more, I get that too... but time invested.. go back to you Nintendo64 or PS1 cus I am sure you have time and money invested in those as well. Lame..

I believe a free trial/demo is a must. People do have established investments in other games and to disregard that would be rediculous, and is therefore a valid reason. I was thinking about purchasing this game tonight, but wanted to play a demo first. The fact that the company does not find it beneficial for their own business to offer a demo implys to me that they do not think their own product will be competative enough in the current market.  A desire for a trial is valid.

I found NCSoft customer service to be lacking (non-existent!)  I wouldn't take a chance of buying the game without trying it first with this company.

I found a site that offers people free trial/demo of Aion  for EU only though.
