Hmm this can not be good news. Their web site cant handle the traffic when they start something big. How will the game do when it goes live?
I think Bioware makes great games, and I've never been let down by them. I have to say though; this worries me.

3 letters about your post: LOL
I just hope I'm not missing something.
my opinion: fuck the beta. look at this way, you will be amazed the first time the game goes live (this time without the bugs, crashes and beta character resets or wipes). also, look at a game like wow or lotro or other games that have been around for a while. is anyone stronger or cooler in any way right now cause they were in the beta? nope. whatever title or item or anything they got ingame for being in the beta is old now and no one cares.
i certainly dont.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
Have you ever imagined it could be on purpose they didn't scale the back end of the servers for the sign-up?
Maybe it's because is serves them to look overwhelmed: people saying wow so many players interested in... might be cool I want in.
Or maybe as it's costly and takes time and resources to scale the architecture they didn't bother to do it.
Who knows...
Certainly the truth lies somewhere ^_^
LOL so many what ifs LOL
this thread is full of epic fail.
'What if' you weren't an idiot. This thread might have been interesting.
is it me or does the SWTOR website look very different?
played: EQOA,EQ1, EQ2, SWG, DAOC, FFXI, GW, WoW, Eve, Vanguard, COH/COV, Pirates of Burning Sea, Pirates of the Carribean, Freerealms, AOC, Warhammer, UO, Secondlife (LMFAO), The Matrix Online.
Waiting for: SWTOR, STO
Nice I sign up for beta and it worked
Gratz.
I wonder what they'll use to distinguish people for beta. Probably just system specs? That's one of the problems with such a hotly anticipated game like SWTOR, hard to distinguish yourself as a solid community member.
