2 Expansions / 2 "adventure" packs per year?

i honestly dont care how many expansion/adventure packs they put out in a year, its still gonna be the same combat, the same grind just with more places to do it that u will get sick of in a month again anyways.
i have a better idea. how bout u fix all the bugs, glitches,bad recipes (MA T4 armor for example) and lack of armor/weapon models first. and maybe do it for free first, u know...since u made us pay for 2 months of open beta and all. dont make me pay for it 4 months down the road.
This game's marketing is handled the same way Magic: The Gathering is. release expansions like there is no tomorrow and overwhelm ppl with stuff they "need" to buy if they wanna keep up and do what all the other players are doing.
I went through this with EQ1 back about 5 years ago...I'll be damned if they do it to me again.
It's a shame though, i really wanted to love this game...SOE! stop forgetting to add the fun! keep in mind all that this was from a huge fan and supporter of the game. im not flaming...just bitter.
I'm out SOE.../uninstall.

hehehehe, yeah amatay, i bet they pointed a gun at him and told him to buy it or they will shoot. they didnt force you or anyone else to buy the game there remy, if you are so displeased try sending a letter to SOE and not complaining somewhere, where they will never see it.

And yes remy, there are a lot of issues with this game... I can see why you left. SOE knows they have most everyone sucked in for life, based on name alone.
Ah well... we miss you in-game man... if you ever get the urge to come back, look me up!

Come on now...your sarcasm is noted but the guy has a point. I say this as a long time EQ1 fanboi (pre kunark) and a player of EQ2. He IS paying for beta when they release such a crappy product.
When are the consumers going to DEMAND better from their products? When are we going to get NO functional bugs? You can scream that thats not possible with software as big as this, but i tell you what...NASA does software thats 10x as big for less money and peoples LIVES depend on it.
If they want our money for profit, we deserve a better product. Simple as that.

This is my point. And I apologize if some of you feel I hit Remy too hard. But this whole "paying for beta" thing is very easily resolved by waiting 2 months after release to buy the game.
I have been looking forward to this game for a very long time. I of course bought it the day it came out. But about 2 weeks ago I told myself that I will never buy a mmorpg again on it's release date. Instead I will wait a few months, for the following reasons.
1 - Bugs - You're damn right there are bugs, and this is something that will go on forever I feel in the PC world because of the almighty "patch." And I am afraid that this is going to start creeping into the console world as well since they are now starting to push online more. Anyway though, yes there are bugs and yes it is going to take time to clear them out, AND YES I totally feel that they should be spending their time fixing them instead of making gay adventure packs. But they get to decide for themselves just like we do, so unless the entire 300k+ community starts screaming, that train will continue down it's tracks.
The rest of my reasons don't really pretain to this thread and are mostly concerned with being a few months behind "the swarm" and having the neewbie areas less populated and what have you.
I slammed remy for this reason. If at some point any person feels like they "HAVE" to buy a game, then they have a pretty serious problem that has nothing to do with the game itself. No one forced anyway to play this game or buy it, you chose for yourself just like I did. I myself am having a great time, you apprarently are not and that is unfortunate.

thanks bro! im glad someone sees where im coming from, im not looking for a fight here...just voicing and venting an opinion.
