If the movies sux blizzard will simply pull it, they do it all the time with their games, a bad movie will hurt Warcraft so I realy dont see them making a bad movie. Plus the Warcraft movie is just that a warcraft movie not WoW movie.
Out of the possible types of stories, WoW the movie will most likely be categorized as either a Low Comedy, a Farce or an Epic, depending on your level of Fanboyism.
All I know is that I'm extremely disappointed in Sam Raimi for taking this gig. He's better than WoW: The Movie. Sam, bring on Evil Dead 4, FFS. You got all warmed up with Drag Me To Hell... the time is now.
Oh, come on, who does not want to see Bruce Campbell as Thrall?

Thats gonna be pretty hard, considering bruce is dead.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.

wow... maybe someone should let him know.
Really, you should make sure your "facts" are correct before posting.
Just to let you know, this movie is going to be based on WARCRAFT not WORLD OF WARCRAFT. So it'll probably be the story of Warcraft 1. So I doubt it'll be some WoW comedy all you kids are looking forward to!

It will be a comedy, probably not intentional but it will be laughable. I have yet to see a movie based on a video game that has been decent. Maybe Resident Evil but only because it had Milla Jovovich in it ;-p
To me comedy would be the best way to go. Trying to be serious as an adventure story would be too much of a self-parody no matter how well it was produced. WOW: THE SAGA OF KARAZHAN Episode 1 (of 3). The first 3 hours of a three film, 9 hour, live-action version of a full kara raid with mediocre players - wipes included.
Would (could, I am not counting on it) only be tolerable at all as a b grade comedy. Trying to take any action in the WoW universe serious on that scale is just too much. Books, fine for lore. Major motion picture, no.
How dare you present him with logic! Don't you understand? He fights epic fights, in epic games, with epic toons....eats epic food and takes epic dumps! He has more e..pic..icity...ness in his little finger than you have in your whole unepic body! - ChicagoCub

It will depend, World of Warcraft has some pretty good lore to build a movie. If they use it in the right way is the question.

I sure hope it won't take itself so serious as some other fantasy movies.
As did Dungeons and Dragons and we all know how that turned out . . .

You wouldn't understand
Warcraft III was funny; when you clicked on some troops they said funny shit .
March on! - Lets Invade Pekopon
in general I only ready fantasy, fantasy movies/series are overly cheesy

Why not? Laughing is a good thing

I believe Warcraft can avoid much of the cheesyness with it's shifty humans, gentle orcs, tortured undead sensibilities.

Be aware because your first world could always be your last.
As did Dungeons and Dragons and we all know how that turned out . . .
Do not remind me please, I am still tring to recover from that experience.
I am sure it will be rated "G" for all the WoW kiddies to see!
