So finally I received my order of aion (yay) but for the past few days I saw many whining on the queues, so should I wait before reactivating my account or just activate?
I got a character on spatolos a heavy populated server so I had some queues before but couldn't play it at live because my order came now.
And if the new servers are high I was thinking on trying a chanter on a not so high populated server.

They only added 1 new server im not sure if it's got a high pop yet tho havent checked it out.
But im sure it will be the same as the other one's eventually.
I want to activate my account when the status has stabilized a bit but from comments here (although sometimes rarely true) seem to be on a havoc.
Ow its really true about the queue's the game is good tho.
If you have a job or college etc expect a long queue time when you get home to play
fairly easy to get on before 2pm but usually still a que of about an hour on some servers.
im on telemachus and am usually in Queue for 1:30 to 2 hours....I just log on a couple hours before I want to actually play...
also they added 2 new server in EU

Spatolos has like 3 hour ques at prime time.
Yeah, they added new servers but the queue remains the same on the "old" servers. If you join the new server I dont think there will be a queue. Not sure though.
The answer to your question really depends on your situation, if you are a kid who goes to school and generally gets home around 3'ish, then might be worth starting up again (though you might want to move server, spat has the biggest population thus the biggest queues)
If you are an adult that works for a living or generally get home around 5 or later, then don't. You will be facing queues of around 2 hours every single night (and weekends probably not even able to get a queue, never mind in game) for at least the next month
NCSoft seem to be of the mentality that a shed load of people will quit next month when the "free" month ends thus don't want to bring up many new servers which is ironic because they are creating a self fulfilling prophesy by their actions because so many are going to quit due to the queues created by the lack of servers*
NC Soft have brought up new 2 servers since release in Europe, but just looked a min ago and the English speaking one is already high pop so would say it will have queues as big as the rest by the weekend
Also, on a extra note, bot’s and gold sellers are already getting out of hand and NCSoft’s response has been ‘lacking’ to say the least (it’s also just been discovered they don’t even have 24/7 support in Europe, basically just 9am -5pm, aka when no one who works/goes to school is playing)
Unless things change in next few weeks (at least 4-5 new English language euro servers, character transfer, serious action against bots/gold spammers) game might just turn out be “Lineage III”
*What’s even more ironic is main reason they don’t want extra servers is they don’t want to repeat warhammers “mistake” where they ended up with a load of empty servers, totally ignoring fact that warhammer ended up with so many empty servers is because the game was bug ridden pile of bird crap at release, something Aion is not, Aion’s problem is not the game, it’s the management (put them just about one step up above Darkfalls Aventurine, who are pretty much bottom of the barrel)

Atm not working but will be busy in a few days/weeks for some work so still deciding if activating account now or later thanks for the updates ppl.
I don’t work but I go to University and usually get home around 8pm (4 days a week) but I am still able to play... I just log in when I get home and start playing at 10ish for a hour or two

I told all my friends to wait... if you don't have enough free time to start queuing 2 hours before you want to play you will be very disappointed.
However there aren't queues at 7am so i get a 30 minute go per day... yay
If i hadn't activate the account already i'd wait for them to sort out the mess. Gorgos have 2h 15min almost costantly at 19:00 GMT+1. Basically if you can play just in the primetime take in account to wait 2h and play the rest.
Also i fear the new EU ENG server it's low stable population and medium high parking population for people that have high queues and don't want to wait for that evening.
Yea that's the problem If I activate account now I'll be wasting some hours/minutes everyday waiting in queues while on the other hand if I wait too much I may lose interest in the game and waste the money I spent on the game.
Anyone can take a screenshot of the server list? I'm GMT +1 so if it's possible some screenshot near the morning would be better to calculate.
Weekday Morning are fine, every server is marked "Low Pop", it's when people start getting home from school, then work that everything changes to high pop
Also if you don't mind rerolling they are opening a new ENG server today with XP boost pots for anyone that creates a char there

I just checked the queues on the 2 busiest UK servers. This was at 5pm UK time.
2.5 hour queue on Spatalos (2000+ people) and 53 minute queue on Castor... Annoyingly I only have characters on these 2 servers... I would still wait if you don't want to pick a lower population server.
The problem is that I mostly play a game a lot when I'm interested in it if I lose interest I would cancel it fast, I activated my 30 day trial on final fantasy online but since I lost my interest on it and that I had started from fresh too instead of my actual account I barely played it.
If you don't log in at peak times you will be fine on any of the servers. Your loss of interest is a completely different issue...

I'll probably activate it tomorrow.
So I didn't activate my again (sigh) was about to do it but got concerned maybe I should wait till the free month for the people that started from launch ends to see how will the population be and a little concerned about the gold spam problem.
Gold spam isn't a problem, its annoying, but I could not give a monkeys about it and you can turn it off...
I would say however that waiting until the 26th of this month or so to activate is a good idea.
