I loved the look and feel of the game, open parties, public quests (back when there were enough people in any area to actually complete them), comical voices and emotes, fun keep sieges, and an overall completely immersible world (all of which is just my opinion of course ), but unfortunately for me - it just wasn't playable. Really made me sad too, cause I really wanted to get into the game and spend a good deal of time there. Alas memory leaks and bugs just did to much for my frustration levels, Once i caught myself nerd raging cause I lost control of my toon for the 5th or 6th time in a hour while soloing with no one else around and nothing else running on my machine (graphics set on low, etc...) and I decided that wasn't me and I wasn't going to continue to play something that made me feel/act that way (much less pay to do so.)
I have gone back since, and was deeply saddened again to see it was still the same. =(

I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. I have my criticism but in general while I played it, it was a blast. Don't like how they have sieging and the constant flipping of castles but perhaps they changed that.
When players don't feel like defending then that is a problem.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Defending happens all the time now. They added incentives to do so, and are adding more incentives depending on how many are attacking etc.

The dark ambiance and the character look great from start to end
Lot of thing to do like Pve, PQ, PVP, RVR and every aspect entertain me, yes it all can be improve but since you can altern from one to another, it never get boring... well for me at least.
I love live event even if , since the game doesnt goes very well or as well as they planned it, it will be better to see permanent stuff.
So far i think this game is great despite the bugs ... i love land of the dead and the community.
I dont care about unbalance thing's everyone's complaining about, my pvp/rvr win and lost is basically equal so i dont see any problem here. (i play choppa)
I love WAR, the general feel of the game, the epic battles, the memorable sieges and the great friends I have made on it. In my opinion the positive far outweighs the negative aspect (some bugs), I absolutely adore this game and will continue playing my swordmaster and witch hunter forever.
I miss those who left but those that remain are some of the best I have seen, GO PHEONIX THRONE ORDER AND DESTRO!!
I don't play WAR anymore (Fallen Earth is now the only MMORPG I play), but there are still quite some MMORPGs I played and tried that were worse. And if I'd have to choose between them and WAR I'd play WAR. On the other hand, there are also better MMORPGs than WAR. Or maybe "better" is the wrong word. Let's just say that are more entertaining to me. And as long as I can play those rather than WAR I will do so.
Still, the time I played WAR I enjoyed it. I just wasn't hooked enough to subscribe for a really long time.
I have been around since Beta, and I enjoy it, never really had issues, I am not a prick and picky though. I have a glitch every now and then, but all new MMOs have those issues.
That game is good, and is getting better, most of the things people complained about have been fixed, the rest will be soon.
People need to drop the hate, grow up, shut up, or play and enjoy.

So far all your comments have shown positive and not negative remarks. Negativity is not gonna help this game out by leaving it in the dirt. I know that plenty of people who can't focus in life can't focus in this game it jus goes to show with the leavers who can't take a beating when another side is overwhelming. Players need to man up, get skills, find a good guild and learn how to take a beating plus be able to deliver out kills as well. I for one wish I could sit around all day and get players kills but life is not letting me do that. WAR is a game for all types of players not just casual but also hardcore PvP players who want to build up that Lifetime Kills. I really want to reach 1 Million Lifetime Kills once I hit RR80.

Game balance and overpowered classes didn't really come into play until most people (over half) had already left the game, after the first ea quarterly financial result. So for most people, that's not why they left.
I quit probably for an odd reason that probably no one else will share. I loved doing scenario pvp, but later on when organized groups started going in vs. random groups, then it became pretty bad. Then what was worse, the nail in the coffin really, was when engineers were given the ability to "vacuum" all the people into a ball, then AE would come in and destroy the entire opposing side in about 5 seconds before you could run. Sure, probably balanced in group vs. group pvp, but having vent and timing the AE was absolutely devestating.

You probably didnt get into a good guild which has a awesome alliance. I don't have a worry in the world in WAR and we pushing for IC this Sunday.
It was an ok game for awile but after rr 80 it really became mundane..... There was 8 of us from our guild that became rr80 and not one of us played another month after.

Stop complaining and move your ass.

I have a feeling that more people will enjoy WAR once 1.3.2 comes out. So far there hasn't been negative reactions towards the upcoming patch.
Love the game, logging on right now, no real point wading through betrayed fanboi hatred on these boards...
theres alot of hate that really is justified but the game has come along way even though where it is now is what it "should" have been at launch.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
