Rogue or Predator?

Well I am working on my 3rd alt now [I know, most people can't handle one character, let alone 3] and I am a level 9 scout. I had an infiltrator and a shadowblade in DAoC so you can see that I enjoy DPS classes so I am going torwards either the Rogue, or the Predator. The rogue would fun because of the large amount of skills they have, from roots to disrupts, to backstabs. A predator would be great too because most groups look for them and they hit VERY hard. Which class does everyone recommend?

predator, it just sounds cooler. assassin's seem like they have the highest melee dmg with thier specials. (according to the EQ2players.com stats)

I didn't like preadator because I was Good and didn't want to go ranger. I didn't want to go Ranger because I only use my bow for one attack, usually to pull. Most bows have a very long attack wait. They do killer damage, but DPS, I imagine, is pretty low.
I have a 24 assassin and I came from a predator. The damage output is awesome for the pred and I never had much trouble finding a group. I love the mix of attackes they give out for the pred. All of them are pretty much unique and all do nasty damage.
rogue solos better the predator does, and also makes for a better secondary tank, dont let the preds fool you as a 29 brig i have an attack that puts preds my level to shame (ruse adept3 600-1300 dmg, but it doesnt register as a hit for the brig [which is good cause u dont draw hate on ruse])
Basically it seems the assasin is the high dps out there closely followed by the brigand.
Seems the evil classes of scout are generally better atm.
But personally if i was to go scout or predator i go brigand as i think like the swashbuckler they have group sneak.
I don't have a predator, but I have a rogue... now swashbuckler. I am glad I went rogue. Let me tell you this, predators my level seem to crumple like wet paper bags when the mob aggros on them, whereas I can act as a secondary tank if needed. With the new training options, I chose the upgraded Fancy Footwork skill, which even before the upgrade greatly increased my parry skill. Now it seems godly (I hope they don't nerf it). I feel like a brawler with much better DPS and the same tanking skills (and can wear heavier armor to boot).
Rogues didn't get taunts by accident... I think it is SOE's intent to allow them to off-tank. Some think that a rogue is too much of a jack-of-all-trades and may not be desired at raid encounters over a predator. People still need to break the EQ1 mentality is all I have to say...
