Gatt's Manifesto

I bought EQ2 right after it came out and got to level 12 and got a bit burned out.

I just started playing and am enjoying it a little more but here is my list of things that have to be fixed in the game if I am going to continue.

#1 Fix the Qeynos graphics problem.  This problem is well documented, basically the Qeynos zones don't work, at least not with Nividia Video cards.

#2 Allow NPC vendors to sell when you are offline.

#3 Increase the frequency of loot drops, I killed over a hundred of level 12-13 mobs last night and got about 5 drops

#4 Decrease the vendors percentage, 20% markup on items taht are already marked up is out of order, 5% is probably more like it.

#5 Add a larger variety of Mobs and zones.

Did I forget everything

Allright SoE developers out there get cracking.

I have one thing, there is a graphics bug about your char standing near water that his/her outline becomes fuzzy like the water.  Also the druid spell vigor needs to become a group buff and not a single person buff with 1 concentration per cast.  Ugh I hate that.

I'd agree with the selling offline part, and probably dropping the broker commission.  Neither is a big issue for me though.  Selling online worked fine for me for years in EQ1.

I wouldn't increase loot drops.  There's plenty, and plenty more from quests.  I think getting money and items should be about as difficult as it currently is (if not more so).  As it is I always have far more items than I could ever possibly use, i.e., plenty to sell.

Never seen or heard of the Qeynos graphics bug you refer to, and I do use a GForce4.

I never object to more zones but it seems to me there are plenty of mobs and zones already, and they seem to be adding stuff at a good rate.    How would you know at level 12?  You're barely out of the newb zones.

I won't even start up again on my own agenda, lol, which is for them to make things more difficult =)

HMMM I use an Nvidia card and don't have any graphics problems in Qeynos.  Could you be more specific.  Exactly what problem are you talking about ??

Nvidia FX 5500, not the best, but it runs good, and i don't have a qeynos graphics bug.  I did have some freaky color thing, but after some experiaments i found the source to be a combination of max floral with 2 other settings, turned down all 3 and it stopped.

The graphic bug only effects the new Nividia cards apparently.  The bug is stuttering, like every few seconds the game stutters for a second in Qeynos zones, and no it's not my CPU or memory, it's the game and the new Nvidia cards (6000) series.

And Wickes, I have been in Antonica for 4 levels since it seems like the only place I can get decent XP now.  While there I have fought, Bears, wolves, rats, snakes, bugs, deer, scarecrows, Gnolls, skeletons, Badgers, Earthcrawlers, and the ocasional fish.  I guess that is a ok variety just a little heavy on the wildlife side.

The fact that you are pretty much stuck in Antonica kind of bugs me, but it is pretty big, so it's not that big of a deal.

I think you are wrong on the loot drop.  I've been killing lots of stuff and not getting much for it, the quests pay pretty good and that is where I get most of my money.  But the mobs rarely drop anything,

Oh and did I mention that the fish can fly,

I'm level 31 and am still anxious to play every day.

Some games aren't for everyone, bud. There are still hundreds of thousands playing.

ummm drops are way too plentiful to the point of putting most tradeskillers out of business

Not true, there are not enough drops of mediocre stuff we can sell to the merchant and use the money to buy from tradeskillers, thats the problem :)
