in World of Warcraft
stop saying wow sucks it sells by hype bla bla bla. Same with everquest 2, and you need to know one thing. do you actualy think just by saying wow or eq2 sucks you can make players not to buy there games. well newsflash nobody gives a ... if they really want wow, eq 2, ... they are going to buy it or play the beta so if you don't like wow or eq 2 just dont play it. but don't try to destroy it. i played every 3d mmorpg there is. had some very bad games but so what. just press start, programs. and then remove. easy as hell. oh and about the "hype" of wow and eq2. without "hype" your game doesn't sell. because nobody knows about it = nobody will play it. (only the really hard-core fans) even if the game is the best mmorpg ever made you need something to bring it to the man, and if the game is good and the people know about it then you get a "hype". and the fanboys of other games will try to blame the succes of the game. because its the "hype" bla bla bla. 10 years ago it was the same. today it's the same, and in 10 years it will still be the same. so i beg you don't try to shit on game because they have more succes then your favo game.

    Theres a difference between hype and good exposure. Have you ever heard of the term 'sleeper hit'? If 'hype' only sells -- this term wouldn't exist.

    Word of mouth can go a long way -- and message boards = electronic word of mouth.


    EDIT: If youre not interested in reading perspectives that differ from your own. Don't utilize message boards. This isn't Nazi Germany, we don't all think the same. I've not been indoctrinated (can't speak for others. . . . ) by Blizzard.
