Didn't know they were going to do an open beta. Open betas are a waist of time IMO. I would be willing to guess that 80% of the people who join an open beta are just doing it to get a free shot at the game before it goes live and don't contribute a thing to helping track down and report bugs.
Keeping it a closed beta, helps in getting people who actually will test and help get the bugs out of the game. Its more productive so good for them.
I can assure you they aren't hiding anything, but if your looking for a free trial before you play, just wait until after release and I'm sure they will have something in the future.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
Sadly it's not even ok. If you took WoW, and sketched the UI and application flow from opening up the .exe, and then tried to copy it exactly only with a way smaller budget and less talented individuals then you would have Alganon. A complete and subpar ripoff of WoW.
Now if the devs would have tried to be original and done something unique so that they weren't putting themselves in direct competition with WoW and all the other clones they could have had something. It's sad because they had enough funding and talent to make a good niche game, but isntead they will fail horribly.
If this game releases in anything remotely similar to its current state, Quest Online are going to be sued into bankruptcy by Blizzard's lawyers. Virtually every element of the interface is identical to WoW's in layout and function. Not just kinda similar, not just "oh all MMOs look a lot alike" territory - absolutely identical.

When I first saw this game...I defended that it perhaps would be different. I admit...I was wrong. It is a poorly done WoW wanna be to put it politely. Feels and plays like WoW...just not as nice looking...lol...and it musta been quite an effort to make this game look worse than WoW.

I played in the closed beta and I agree, it is truly unbelievable how much almost every single element is directly copied from wow. Makes you wonder who makes decisions like that.

I can only assume they copied the WoW interface verbatim with the intention of revisiting it once they had the basics up and running.. and then ran out of time and money to revisit it.
