Thanks for the update! The video itself was a bit "meh". Now we probably have to wait another month for a decent update.

I liked the video, answered a few questions on the size of it. Multiple levels with a changing atmosphere sounds pretty neat. Sounded like Taris from KOTOR.

Could be assumed it's just a static NPC.

Probably a NPC. Creature handler would be a neat class, but at the same time It loses part of it's unique characteristics when players can have companions.

And best of all it sounded like *gasp* an MMO. OMG, you can stand around and watch players come and go at the Starport? It's not instanced? You can be social?

The game has sounded like an MMO for some time now. People will continue to bash it though. Which is fine, I'm actually done trying to convince anybody. I dont really wanna be in the same game with them anyways.

Thanks for the links Tilla, I added them to the Info guide at the top. Coruscant looks pretty amazing and I'm glad we will finally have an opportunity to explore the planet in depth in TOR. The mention of the underworld and the "criminal laden Blacksun district'" really got my attention.

    Oh and the ships docked....

Lol, you expected a video called "The Making of Corscant" to feature skills, combat and non beta/released player interaction. Seriously your parents need to take the internet away from you.

Don't include me with you, I'm not riding the short bus.

I'm interested in the game, CRAZY RIGHT?! Heroic Classes, Amazing Story, Star Wars, Old Republic, Bounty Hunter (for me anyways :P), PvP, PvE, Crafting, Meaningful grouping, Soloable, End game, Gear based, Twitch combat, Large worlds, Massive Cities, and BIOWARE!

I have plenty  reasons to buy this game. I won't speak for anybody but myself, you should do the same.

Uh what? Everything I listed has been said to be in game or displayed in a video.

Solo friendly for noobs, rofl. SWG Pre-Cu, guess what, SOLO FRIENDLY! SWG CU, SOLO FRIENDLY! SWG NGE, SOLO FRIENDLY. You're such a hypocrite dude.

They have not shown us everything some hope for, at this point I don't imagine they will. As you can see most people can't get a grasp of even the minor details. Better to let the game speak for itself when you can try it.

Yep, I started in late July of 04, made my main toon in August of 04. I was new to MMOs and my trial 14 days were spent getting the hang of the game.  Within a few weeks of buying the game and mostly playing casually  I was able to master BH, by the time publish 10 came I was one step from glowing, got in the first round of phase one and did most of the phases solo. I think phase 3 was the only challenge, once I finished all the phases I took a break from the grind for a few months, then was able to fill all my FS XP in under week and unlock Jedi. It wasn't intill the CU when they forced groups to earn decent XP that I found myself grouping all the time to finish grinding Jedi, then the NGE came and well you know the rest. Being ranged I learned how to solo almost everything.

    swg pre-cu solo friendly?

    no

in swg pre-cu you had to get buffed by a doc and entertainer you had to get armor and weapons from crafters you worked in big 20 man groups in order to take things down there was no solo play in swg pre-cu and that is what made it great i remember watching a few rebels take on one stormtrooper and almost lose

that is the way games should be very hard with sandbox type game play

WHAT? Maybe a Blackhole Stormtrooper with 100k HAM if you were a noob, that was after the GCW update. And most decent Master TKM/Master DOCs could tank one of those all day. The only time I every remember a hard fight with a Storm Trooper was the ST Cap that SOE would spawn in Anchorhead with 600k  HAM, and one shot kills.

Oh so the problem is you don't understand what Solo friendly means. Solo friendly generally means you can solo to max level. SWG pre-cu might not have used levels, but you could max out all your points in skill boxes solo. Doctor buffs have nothing to do with grouping. I don't know about you, all I did was make a trip to Corellia, wait in line tip the doc 10k credits and get a full set of buffs that lasted a few hours, made a trip to Squall Caves and grind out xp for boxes, when buffs ran out, repeat all the way till mastery. The things you are listing are usually done once you have mastered proffessions, when you are capable of making a difference. You also just explained WoW, the game you HATE, yet you can solo to level cap but then require a group to get some of the best gear in game.

Just because you wasn't able to solo doesnt mean the game was not soloable.

Edited to remove the rant lol.

Sorry, it WAS solo friendly. I never grouped. That doesn't mean it was a single player game. My business depended on other players to buy product, which in turn I spent on buffs or other things I needed.  Yep, solo friendly.

Oh, and back on topic.  BioWare understands the mythos of Star Wars like no other game company. Coruscant looks exactly as I imagine it -- which is, granted, influenced heavily by the films.

Nice. I get the swine flu, disappear for about a week, come back, and stillkillin is still getting put in his place by the community.

    Some things never change.
