edit 2: questions I have still.
One of the most confusing things for me is the rails power supply things you have to match up to make sure everything will work. Can anyone verify that I meet these requirements? I really dont get it.
edit 1:
i changed the processor to a 3.2 as suggested.
I have removed the network card as it appears my motherboard has one.
i changed the sound card, although im wondering if its a waste im not planning on hooking up surround sound or anything, apartment with thin walls. thoughts?
I changed the dvd player to a sata.
I changed the ram by searching what was suggested and going with the cheapest, but i dont see the difference?

Comments
I would replace the power supply with an OCZ 600w supply. I would replace the memory with atleast DDR3-1600. I would use the Phenom II 955 instead of the 965. I would use a DVD-RW SATA instead of an IDE interface DVD-ROM. I would use an HT-Omega or ASUS sound card instead of a DIAMOND one. I would drop the network card.
Looks ok except for psu and sound card.
You don't need that big psu, besides that is some crappy oem quality. corsair vx 450 and nexus value 430 are both much better choices.
I'd also go with some known brand of sound card, for example sb x-fi extreme gamer.
You don't need separate network card if the motherboard has one integrated.
no longer matters.
