Why do people keep thinking this game is empty LOL?

I actually got 2 inbox mails asking if the game is empty.
I scratch my head .
30 servers going from heavy to full load every night since xmas?
And EQ2 server load is large as many know.
Article printed that was posted here clearly says 310k paying customers that have played their free month and decided to go on with the game which is not even the actual units sold.
And maybe this does not even count the all access accounts .Take me for instance my primary all access is actually planetside not EQ2.
Also since the xmas mass influx we saw(that took my server from medium to full load now) are not even paying customers yet.
So if like some say many are running from EQ2 surely it must have sold over 1 million units to still retain so many a month after.Which i doubt.
This kind of reminds me of pre trammel world in which many (including stupid me back in them days) declared UO dead and spammed(i did not do this part though hehe) forums how UO would be a ghost land.
Well in 2000 it had just over 100k accounts by 2002 it had 250k.
DAoC same happened if you remember when archers were nerfed sites like warcry even imposed bans on such articles because of the spam.In the end it sold even more.
Also why are people so engrossed and feel number of units sold means its the perfect mmorpg for them?Its all subjective.
If yu are worried about nmber of people you interact with then you should go to games with the most people on ONE server not the game.
If say 2000 play on one server as its full load and the game has 100 such servers ,you will still interact with less people then a game which has 10,000 as its full load and only one server.
So in a sense you are actually in a bigger interaction and community in that one game!
Pick the game you like best not which sold more.Otherwise,we should all convert to lineage
and join the glorious 2.5m .
I think a big problem is there are some people with an unhealthy hate for SoE that go around spamming forums.
Some will even claim to have bought the game and played till high level (like the guy that got discredited for been a level 40 rogue here and another on VN board who claimed to be a level 50 zerker yet got half his skills wrong)
Some claim to be old veterans of EQlive and yet have little idea about the game.Granted i know a few real vets of EQlive that did not like EQ2 but SoE always made it for the old crowd of EQers and new people not current ones.After all they already ave those in EQlive $$$$
,so why convert those.
So hopefully everyone who is intrested in this game should play it.

i have yet to understand why people would try so hard to discredit a game. you will never see me over in the world of warcraft forum (or any other game i have no interest in). it just doesnt make sense. if you like a game go play it, if you dont then leave it alone...simple as that.

First of all, I have been playing EQ2 since its release and I have never been on when no one is around, I have never had the need to search for a group it takes maybe 4 minutes. I love the game as much as when it was released and I think I will continue to enjoy it for a long time.
As far as discrediting the game by people that had a bad experience with EQ2, as from what I have seen they are not ready for a RPG let alone a MMORPG. They don't understand the concept that it is a game. Its sad, but in most cases its true. I am not trying to belittle anyone, but please don't waste your time and ours if you play a GAME and find that it does not fit with your preferences, quit and go on. No one will think less of you.
For one thing, I have recruited atleast 8 people to join the game 7 have stayed after the free month and all of them are extremely excited to play and learn about role playing (most of them have never played an RPG let alone an MMORPG). They have made friends and enemies, but its all a GAME.
Lets just leave it at that

Plus as most regulars know on this forum i was in US WoW beta for nearly 3 months doh.
Plus i been playing near 2 months in EQ2(plus over 3 months it that beta too) and have to say i was even slightly bored in my 20s but once i past the 30s and above it been such a great experience I never seen in years.
But I have ordered euro WoW.I work 1 week in 3 in a night shift where we have basically nothing to do .We either play games on the computers(no one cares as long as you don't use a computer which has no back up files) or watch DVDs.One chap is even a age of empires nut LOL.
The computers are not very powerful so i would not even dream of installing EQ2 on it .But i tried the beta WoW and it works fine.So it will play me well.
Don't get me wrong I think its a good game but honestly EQ2 seems to me to be a more to me a MMORPG.
Maybe i am too old school and actually like a lot of interaction i dunno.
But really sometimes you wonder why people feel they need to troll the forums and spam i played EQ2 as a level 40 rogue(lol we had fun with that liar didn't we guys went we proved he was full of crap) and go play WoW.
As an adult reading some of this posts i think would i really want to play with this kids???Thankfully,i have hooked up with a few for the european WoW and we plan to adventure together and ignore the kid infested world we will be in.
Just got EQ2 instead of WoW, and god damn, EQ2 is great, whatever people said bad about it, is bullshit, playing it proved it to me. What lag? What fps lag? What bad quests? WoW has bad quests ! Fly here, then come back, wtf kind of quest is that? No disrespect to WoW, but I didn't quite enjoy playing the beta.
EQ2 is beautiful.

One of the reasons I love this game is a trend that seems to be creeping in more and more games as of late, and that is the ability to start a quest and finish it at your own pace.
I was hugely addicted to AC (nearly cost me my marriage), and one of the main reasons was the need to be on a quest from start to finish at one sitting.
I have a full time job running my own business, and like the fact that I can progress at my own pace. My highest level character is only level 20, but that's fine for me.
SOE has 300k tragically retarded fanboys jumping from swg to eq2 to fill the pointless hours in their miserable lives wich would otherwise be spent staring at a wall.
Btw, wow has 600k, and its not even released in europe yet.
Like i predicted, WoW by homocide the 2nd month of release. In reality it only took blizz 1 month to embarrass SOE though.

You never played EQ2 but you have the knowledge to say it sucks. You havent played WoW yet you can say it's good? Any credibility you had left just went out the window.
Heres a scenario so you can understand my point better pirrg. Lets say you walk into a movie store and say to the guy at the desk "I'm looking for a good comedy. Any suggestions?"
The clerk then says " Yeah this new movie that came out is awesome! It's so funny!"
You then say "Oh cool, what was your favorite part?"
The clerk replies " Oh I never saw it. But I know it's good!"
On the MMORPG forums you, pirrg, are the clerk. Any decent human being would beat the clerk for such stupidity so why should that change on here? If you havent seen a movie, listened to the CD, or played the damn mmorpg, then how the hell would you know if it's any good? Think about it. If you came on here and had some legitimate gripes than that's fine. If you played it and didn't enjoy it, that's perefectly ok. But to come on here and judge a game you never tried makes you look retarded.

Now We'll see you in EQ2 in a few weeks once your bored to tears from doing the same thing over and over again.. I played WoW for two weeks, got some of the best gear and top level, then I was like, WTF this is BS no immersion whatsoever.
SOE's mainstay is content driven games. Content that has kept people playing eq1 for going on 6 years.. WoW has crap for content and will not hold people's attention for to long..

naaa, it was loot that kept EQ going 6 years <chuckles>. But thats ok, it was a very successful marketting strategy. I am rather impressed so far with content for EQ II however.

Easy kids, takes it easy now. The reason im not replying instantenous is because unlike you, i have a life, so i cant sit infront of the computer bashing the refresh button every second.
Anyhow, my sources on the sales of eq2 and wow come from IGN, blizzard announced WoW just broke 600k in sales and like i said, it hasnt even been announced in europe yet.
As for if i have played wow, yes i have. My friend recieved his copy a week after release and we have been sharing accounts ever since. Unlike you guys i cannot play it 16 hours a day, but safe to say i have played it sufficiently to know its the better game.
As for the personal remarks, i can see i struck a nerv. Wich makes me happy, very happy.
