I guess it gives you the option to progress AA without questing if you like.   Although questing still gives you AA and XP so I still think it is a new augment to just killing for xp and AA.

Because there are so many quests and you can't take part in all of them. This gives you the option of allowing that.

Wow... that's actually great news.  I swore off EQ2 a year or so ago, because I retired my main but couldn't handle grinding the quest chains from level 1 to max for achievement points.  If you can get that from dungeon runs now... I might actually come back.  One of the rare great decisions by SoE.

Hold up.  Like you guys I too was looking forward to this.  but the slider only goes to 50% and considering you get 3 AA points for every level, you are Still going to have to quest in order to keep your AA maxxed per lvl(a Must for PvP servers)

i resubbed and was Totally Pissed when they only went half way.

It goes 100% in PvE servers and 50% only in PvP servers.

    2nd time I correct you.

Because I enjoy questing and just playing the game, with no care for reaching level cap.

I am already playing 3 characters with xp disabled anyways. This allows me the option to convert xp from collection turn-ins into additional AA xp instead.

They also added in the Chronomancers to allow you to lower your level. Now you can go back and do all those old quests at a level where they are challenging.

quests still give WAY more aa exp than just killing things.  It will be faster to do quests than to grind kill for the aa points.

Ask yourself if you just want to grind all the time, or take part in some quests.
