Why I played Ragnarok

in Ragnarok Online

i've played this game on and off for almost 3 years....but during those 3 years i've only renewed maybe 7-9 times...it bores me after a month..

another note about iro....the community is mean and ghetto like, dont be confused; this can be a hardcore game if you play it as such...

reasons why i loved ragnarok

-the monsters have different element types, so you can use different elemental weapons and spells to counterreact their properties

-in the economy you can flip shit and make zeny if you're smart, AND this was the first game that you can just set up shop and vend shit while yur afk(correct me if i'm wrong)....this game said its ok to go afk and just chill.

-i liked the techno music

-woe ideas seemed cool

-i felt like i knew the game inside and outside

-i like making my assasin, my dude dodges everything and its fuckin phat

-i liked the game being more ghetto, the people playing are alittle meaner than the usual online player

-i liked the equipment and weapons situation, with slots, upgrading, and cards

-i like 2d stuff in 3d enviroments; its a dying breed...


i dunno, i got into iro alot, but it has its downfalls- its very outdated...

    dude, iro is old, camera views are limited, the graphics are now lacking, the updates are kinda old because they take months to years to finally get to iro from korea...

     

    and you sound like a fanboi, everyone knows the updates for iro are lame..there hasnt been a good update really...image

    Ragnarok Online is the best game i'v ever played. I'v played it since the open beta, and im still not bored. The levling is maybe a bit slow but its not fun to be 99 in one day either. I'v tried all different classes, all classes are so cool image and if u think it's too easy, then try to be a Super Novice, that's a big challenge.

    dont get me wrong, i luv iro, i just dont play anymore(taking a break; i was only logging on for woe during summer; i was playing coh all summer too)....and wow is so much better=P i will play iro again, just not in the near future^^

    yeah it does get boring after a while cause you just level, and that sucks that you're account got deleted for no reason.

    In the game Conquer Online, you can go to the "Market" and set up little shops and sell things, and they don't mind if you go afk. ^_^

    After playing RO, I am disappointed in Fairy land.  Cause in RO merchants vended everywhere which was sometimes annoying, like in the middle of the street.  In Fairyland they made designated selling points, and no one used em.

    Ragnarok Online ain't a bad game. Although it is lacking graphics and visual effects. It is a pretty addiciting game once you start playing. Of course, everyone is rich and the economy is messed up. Gravity decided to input a new server called "Isis", which all new players can go and begin a new player without people calling you n00bs and such.

    Well I highly doubt RO will die any time soon.  Oh yea and you told him "Sorry man" yea im sure he is feeling pretty bad because you said WoW kicks RO anytime.  I mean i could do the same thing... RO kicks WoW any day.  Oooo I'm a WoW fanboi lets all go diss other mmorpgs and try to put other people down for playing them.

    Personally I prefer RO over WoE, reason ? It might be because I've been playing RO for years. A mmorpg game doesn't have to be successful to be fun. Actually RO isn't doing that bad comparing to other mmorpgs. Let's not turn this topic into hatred towards other games just because you think they suck.

    Before WoW, before EQ2, there was RO alpha and beta..and I loved every minute of it.. I was hopefully addicted even if my characters kept getting deleted/rolled back/stuck in black holes ..the list goes on and on lol. I met tons of cool people I still keep in touch with to this day but I will  not pay for this game or go back to it. It was fun in open beta stages though and I will always have fond memories of it :P

    Yeah, RO is very addicting. I still remember the open beta they had. More than 9000 players were on and the server lagged really badly. But it was fun because there was alot of cool players on. Although people assume more than 70% are bots, it was still fun. The memories of me playing RO will never fade away.

    WoW is a pretty well put together game, but it is missing alot.  For instance the community isnt there.  Thats the primary difference between RO and WoW.  RO is a community game.  Everything is set up to be easily viewable, including chatting.  It is incredibly easy just to talk with people for several hours.  It can however do better on some aspects that WoW is good at, like gameplay and questing.

    I am getting sick of RO just because I'ev scene everything there has to see, yes I'ev only produced 3 level 99 characters in my time [2 on sakray, 1 on loki.] But I'ev seen pretty much every monster, played as every class [accept for monk, well on iRO atleast ;)] I only login to help my Iris guild now, which I am confused right now, I want to play L][ freetime, which costs money as well, and I am NOT paying for 2 games, so my RO adventure is ending soon :'<. And I dont know how my guild leader is doing with my not leveling, I'm only lvl 71. This isnt the last of me in the RO universe, once I get bored of L][ I am coming back to finish off my Faclon hunter. As for other views on RO, the updates suck, I meen without them iRO would suck because.. well do you guys remember pre-comodo? Every MVP had LOW hp no mvp mobs, and they gave ALOT of EXP. I meen my freind got to lvl 85 wizard in 4 weeks just leveling off maya. But then comodo came, mvps got ALOT more HP, exp was droped, mobs were added. Alot harder, but if this update didn't exsist, everyone would be soloing mvps and leveling likea madman. So, the updates are for the best. About the new classes and the upcoming new classes, I hate them lol. Just because I LOVE the old classes, it reminds me of when I was a noobie, when the fun-rate for me was at its climax. It still fun for me, but not as fun as my first year playing that game, I will never forget that summer, PvP in lutie... dam good times!!!

    i've actually been wanting to play L2 for a while. don't have any friends that i can party with tho and i hear the PKs love to slap noobs around. always wanted to participate in one of the infamous L2 castle seiges although i hear the lvl grind in L2 is the same or worse than RO... when are you starting your L2 account seasonz?

    roflmao, there is no way L2 is even CLOSE to RO's grind. L2's grind so so hard, RO's leveling is probably the easiest on the net. And I WAS starting a L2 account because.. well I actually get intimidated by dungeons,monsters etc, the graphics are great.. and more of a challenge. But.. sadley I am giving up my L2 experience :) I am going to WoW, reason being is because I was talking about it with some freinds at school, they convinced me to play it.. and I'm about to leave in about 30 mins to get it..

    EDIT: I have the best NPC store bought equip for fighter [bone gaiters, etc] if you would like to trade for
    WoW items, tell me.
