Am i the only one that thinks Fallen Earth is asking to muck for new players. There a new company what on craed and there mmo is so different from any other mmo out there you can come pare it to anything. The game has not been reviewed by most of the top game sites in the main stream gaming word and has not Head and main stream media coverages scents E3 09. So if your not a hard core mmo player like me you hardly even know there is a game called fallen earth.
most of the reviews of the game gave it a 5 out of ten . don't get me wrong i love the idea of a game like fallen earth but they don't have a free trial and do not plan to have one till some time next year ( 6 to 9 mouths). there asking to muck money for a game i have to pay real money for ever mouth mouth just to get started you have to pay out $50.
the thing is most mmo top out at 25 to install that i have found online and most have a free to play trial of about 10 days. ya there giving away a few free trail kays for there halloween event but what are the odds of getting one really.
if thy what people to play why ask for the moon when it come to the start up cost and not have a free trail of then game . thy could at lest have a demo of the 1 player first part of the game on fileplanet or i don't know why don't thy ask for a more reasonable some of money say like $25.
Now I want to ask you something am I the only one that thinks FEinc is being unreasonable what there asking cost for the install of the game and no way of trying the game out first. I mean when you get a mmo your not get a xbox game from game stop you can tank back in 30 day. your making a investment of time and money that could last for years. don't you think try some part of the game in some way is fair of a asking price of $50 and maybe year of sub payout. or do you think i am being to picky asking for to muck.

I was having trouble with your post until I ran it through the Universal Translator. LOL. According to my Universal Translator, this is what you are saying:
Gdhafjdka9ig ghid ss igss gkkk gkek akskl agiann g s sa gii akfa fkaflkewk ss adk akda krteklt'y'k ss i a'';k kfkek e adia di 'a'k daidd ' fd afi dasas dkk rek ar ek t.
That makes a hell of a lot more sense.

a trial will be disponible soon, precisely the 23 october

To the Op: You should improve your english, really, it's almost imposible to understand what you are talking about. Try writing short sentences, its usually easier.
No, they arent asking too much. You want a free trial, try to get one of the keys in the event.
yes in small numders not a open trial so you may not get in.
I agree with you OP. They are charging way to much for this game. The downtime alone and constantly having to relog to make your mount reappear should be worth a -$10 US from the box price.
This is in no way a polished or "premium" pc game. It's not even a premium mmo. I have seen free mmos with better pathing and animations.
Also.. by way of edit.. If you guys got your heads out of your asses and actually tried to understand what the op was saying rather than whine about their english.. Well then you could read it just fine. The fact is your just being jerks.
The way these guys on the forum are is a lot like how the people who run the game will treat you sleepless. You might want to find a game with a better community. Good luck.
You're not the only one who thinks that makes more sense.
"IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one."
I definitely think they're asking too much! Where do they come off, asking 50$ when I'm broke? >.<
Nah, it seems like fairly normal pricing. It's what games cost today. Can't do much about that.

If $50 is a problem for you, might I suggest not playing games at all? I know, money is tight, the economy is down, they are an indie studio etc, but just playing this game is a $1000 computer investment, $15/month, $30/month internet fee. If then the $50 incremental investment is too much for you, your priorities are wrong...
I'm sorry it sounds harsh, but anyone having problems with $50 should not be playing games but focusing on improving their situation.
Its "mucH" not "mucK". Sorry I cant be bothered to point out all the other terrible spelling mistakes. That one just struck me as amusing because you keep re-using it so its clearly not just a typo.
I don't think the experience of the company behind the title should have any relevance on it's value. It is true that without playing however, it's hard to get an idea of how good or bad the game is and therefore hard to decide if it's worth the money. This is true of all mmo's when they first release though, until a trial starts.
You just have to do the best you can by reading the opinions of other people who you have read in the past and tend to have similar tastes with, read as many official reviews (although I can't remember the last time I read a review of an mmo that wasn't utter shite). Personally I gather as much factual information as I can about the game then take an eduacated guess about the mechanics that really interest me and decide if it's agame I would like. If it is I roll the dice like everyone else and hope for the best, for me FE was one of the best in a looooong time, but it's a subjective call ofcourse.
On the whole I think the devs are happy and proud of their game and once they add a bit more content they will most likely have a less restrictive trial, but tbh a trial key this time around might be easier to get than you might think. This isn't bliz or ncsoft or some massive software house and many won't even entertain the idea of playing it on that basis alone, lots more keys for you Good luck.

$50 up front and $15/ month is too much for that type of game in my opinion. I have set my standards pretty high though.

WTF? you play WoW? what standards?

Wow at least can stay up for 24 hours. For that matter wow has not even close to the amount of bugs and problems that fallen earth has. Furthermore it is possible to play wow without being nagged into the dirt by the nannie squad/gms.

WoW has been out 5 years.. Add to that the flawless launch of FE as compared to WoW. I had the game running for over 3 days straight last week, before they fixed the crafting stations. What stability you say?
If you want to flame the game, please try to address *actual* bugs/flaws/issues etc, and not those you make up. It's not like there aren't enough issues with the game that you have to invent some..

Compare any one month old game to any 5 year old game and I guarantee you the 5 year old one will be more polished.
The GMs are actually persistent in going after those who break the terms of service and code of conduct in FE. If Blizzard had enforced their "standards" over the last 5 years, WoWs communities might not be so offensive today.

I'm not going to get into an arguement as the statement was meant more to highlight the stupid comment about 'this type of game' and it's value being decided upon by those that buy it, or not. In addition the fact that I wouldn't play WoW for free let alone paying a sub and it would have been rather nice if they could have given me at least a 90% refund when I bought it at release which may then have represented what I felt the game was worth.
Desipte that I have to point out saying FE is run by a nanny state is fkin LOL in comparison to WoW. Also if you had the week waiting ques, bug ridden map, horendous lag that I had in my first few weeks of WoW you may change your comment. If I could have spent more than an hour in the game in the first few months I might be ale to make a comparison on the relative time each game has been released but seeing as how it constantly kicked me I can't. FE I can play and there are lots of people to play with and I move when I press the keys as opposed to waiting for 10 minutes as I did in WoW in the first month.
Having said that though WoW was an mmo like any other and they are buggy at the begining most of the time, I had played other mmo's whehn I started WoW so I knew what I was probably in for and didn't feel the need to rant on some forum.

Almost every time I try to play this game I get timed out on the loading screen.
50 dollars with a 15/month sub is a little too high to be playing that type of game.
I realize that I might be trying to play during a popular time but that's the time I have to play - either give me a discount or drop your prices, because I'm not paying to play 'timed out'.

I think it is a bit silly to expect a free trial of a game that just came out. If all MMO's did this they would make a lot less money. Free trials are used to bring people in once the server populations have stabilized or are in decline.
I have been playing the game for a week and I have had no logon or lag issue except for one evening when the server had issues for an hour. I expected this from a new mmo group and I am happy with the progress they are making. This game company reminds me of CCP (Eve Online). If they keep up the good work they will be just as successful and the game will be just as good, except I hope they dont have all the crime and scandals as Eve does.
I see GM's in the help channel every time I am on, I have not seen this level of support in a game, ever.

You also have to remember WoW has been out for 5 years and is running multiple shard servers. FE is one game world for everyone and is new. IDK to much about WoW's launch but Im guessing it wasn't smooth. I bet the servers were down and they had other bugs as well. Everyone just compares it to the machine we now call WoW and not the new WoW.
Never really had any problems with the GM's so idk what thats all about.

Well at least you managed to spell the game title properly.
Sorry but my eye's and mind could not read past the 1st paragraph.

Your not actually paying the $15 a month yet as you get a free 30 days of game time included, and if you are still playing after 30 days then it was a good investment.
And honestly $50 seems like a lot, but its not for an unlimited amount of entertainment for an entire month.
Last weekend I went to the state fair, cost me $30 to just get in, and then I spent another $30 for food and such for my girlfriend and I, and it was another $10 for the train ride into the city. So for 1 days worth of fun, I spent $70.
Going out to eat, or to the movies on a Friday night will normally run you about $20+ (and a lot more if you get drinks) for just 1 night. I dont think $30 more for an entire months worth of fun is really asking to much.
Also most game companies don't launch their free trials till well after a year that the game has been out, and some still don't have free trials or just started trials. I know FFXI only started free trials some time within the last year I believe.
My Guild Wars 2 Vids
I don't understand posts like these. The player base is growing instead of shrinking as the common formulas postulate, despite the hefty price tag. The game has pretty solid good reviews and a fan base that is in love with the game. They incorporate a lot of events that include free trials, why would they give the golden fleece away? Icarus has a runaway hit and is as far from garage indie game development as you can get.
look i am some one new to mmos and i did not no most cost $50 when thay frist start and i still think it maybe to muck to ask for a new IP and a new commpeny that untested. I am not saying the game is not worth the $50 but till i play it i don't really know.
now that i know that most game start out like this i have no purplem what it. I would close this topic down for good but i can't so it just say open.
any way most game reveiws i can find gave the game a 6 of 10 wink is ok but not great and G4 or IGN or any other top gameing wed site about more then just mmos that i know of have not gaven a reveiw of the game yet . there site i turst and if thay don't reveiw it i just don't know.
