Will I be able to play DAoC?

Title says everything.

GeForce FX 5200 PCI (128MB)

DSL 256kbps
I just want to play DAoC classic with Shrouded Isles. I DONT want to play ToA or Catacombs

To play ToA, i require 1.4GHz (i have 1GHz)
BTW hows the game population? is it still living? is it a good idea to start playing this game? (im being seduced with the RvR) How many subscriptions does DAoC have? how is RvR?

i dont think it will die in 3 years and in this year i bet they will think something new out as usial.
(my point of view is yes but i wont advice you to get to lvl 50 as fast as you can, its not a race anyway) but noone will be able to tell you about that.
i dont know how many subscriptions they have im looking only ats server pop.. (i dont care about how many accounts are registered)
RvR is still active, (best part about game, for me again " I LOOOVE attacking and deffending keeps) btw dont make a mistake and start on PvP server it will kill you
if you know what i mean. get to lvl 20-25 and find your self a guild (you can do this anytime its just some guilds whant to see players in action) if you start playing lance for Hibernia leave you ingame name il help you, or find Saires im from Epic Ligeon but im resting atm. so il be back in action only after 20.01.2005
P.S. lol im playing since releas and always for same realm i was playing on euro and now U.S. server and always for hib if you whant ot know im not boored at all (my psy test showed that im still normal
)
Sorry but PvP server is the only thing daoc has left for themselves.

well well well look whos here pvp and rvr are not same i think i allredy told you that somwhere. yah righ and you dont have lvl 50 on normal server ? if you play on pvp server first you will find rud sides of this game and same gose to other games not only mmorpg. only a ***** will advice somone to start on PvP server to a new player, it will kill game for him. and i will never belive that you have start playing on PvP server.

I thought it was 1 gig for ToA, but I just checked and it is 1.4.
The game is still alive and doing well as far as a 3 yr old game can. The number of subscribers is around 225,000-250,000. The total amount of people online can be as much as 38,000 anymore but WoW has not hit Europe yet and that is about 1/2 that number. In North America there is about 25,000 on at peak hours. There are 2 heavily populated servers. Another 2 medium to heavy populated role-playing servers. The other servers, including the PvP server, average between 800-1200 during peak hours so they are usually low population.
In mid Februrary they are adding server clusters. Servers will be grouped and they will all share one frontier. Further you will be able to teleport to the other servers to group for PvE if you want. So grouping should be much easier. For now I think you also have a chance of getting a group because of people leveling their new characters from Catacombs.
While the total number of subscription to DAOC did decrease with the release of EQ2 and WoW, the number of active players on a daily basis does not seem to be affected and unless some other ubergame comes out I do not think there will be any additional hits to the population and certainly not the active population. If all of the changes go well in the next couple of month I would expect the active population to rise.
Since you do not have ToA or Catacombs I would suggest you play on Lancelot or Merlin. They have the largest populations which will make it easiest to find a group. If you like to solo more then start out on a lower population server. Do not go to the PvP only server until you have the game mechanics down and really want to do PvP.
Should run fine. Since you're not going to be getting the best graphics experience, you should try to run everything at the lowest setting so you won't get any lag while playing.
