Unlike other reviews, this focuses more on end game than it does immersion factor.
For those of you who like to rush to end game and PvP/PvE, or merely wish to get there, this review is for you.
Since I only made it to 30, I'm definitely not in a position to judge it's accuracy, but his other blog posts that lead up to this one are pretty much spot on.
It also gives Aion a 6.5/10, which I think most people will agree with, so before you dismiss it as a troll/flame read it first.
This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

I read it and I agree on most points however I enjoy the global cooldown is related to animation time, it's more realistic. It always nagged me in WoW when I'd cast an instant spell and I'd have to wait for the GCD to even cast another. The way it works the skills look fluid because each skill melds into each other so it looks like they aren't individual skills but they are still attacking.
He is comparing this game too much to how WoW is and sometimes that is a good thing but you have to realize at times Aion is trying to be slightly different. Aion doesn't want people stuck in instances for the best gear. Sticking the best gear on a handful of epic raidbosses isn't a good/bad thing, it is different and encourages people to fight over these raids. Of course the best gear is reserved for those who spend more time in Aion. I think people can accept that fact.
I do agree with the leveling even though I can live with it. The more casual players will have to take their time or wait until leveling speed patches are put in game.
It's got more opinionated/situational ideas than facts, anyway for those too lazy to click a button and scroll down:
Levelling - 0/10
PvE Instances - 7/10
Endgame PvE (raiding) - 3/10

Fun to read though, even though there are a lot of stuff I don't agree with. Thanks!

He even says hes wrighting this before he dings 50....how the hell can he review the endgame without putting any time into it?
He also complains about it taking at least 3 months to hit endgame....he might be true and thats not bad, especially for a korean game made by ncsoft.....really is 3+months leveling to hit endgame so horrible? I use to like thise games before they were all about endgame and powerleving (via missing all content in a mad dash for endgame)
If you dont enjoy grinding in the abyss with the constant pvp encounters, including you ganking when you get bored, this games gonna blow.
Honestly this review doesnt go into the slightest depth about many aspects of the game, it really does read as a "review of endgame written by a powerleveler 1 level before starting it"(it isnt "tada" endgame you start endgame at 50).
Why reading a review on a page that hates everything other than WoW?
