Wish I could pre-order to beta!

Really interested in this game.  I love the idea of fps-mmos.  Only thing is, there's absolutely no way right now to guarantee a spot in the beta.  Do I really need to wait until Q1 2010?  I need mah GA!

well, i don't really think you should be able to buy your way into the beta, it's supposed to be for testing.

Here is why so many new games fail at launch, they let preorders into beta and these people dont bother to actually test the game.

who says people can't have fun while testing :P

    example:

testing condoms is fun, im not talking what happens afterwards

so far i've heard from beta testers that the game is really polished,  so little flaws have yet to be removed, game has been in beta for long time, so why not?

also, this game isn't as hyped as much as for example Aion,  games that are less hyped are much less likely to have an epicfail release...

    Not Hyped is good.

    Long Beta is Good.

As annoyed as I am not beeing in the beta... Ill take a good launch even if its small over a bad one.

Join an agency, that may help you get in. Some agencies have clan codes and such. The next phase will be testing AvA, so I believe HR will bring in a lot of new testers.

I'm in the beta, and while I can say that the beta is moving much more smoothly than most I've been in, a part of that is because of the focused nature of the beta testing they do.  From what I can tell, it is intentional to have a smaller beta testing crowd so that they can more easily read and react to all the feedback.  This gives them more time to focus on improving the game.

Additionally, like my buddy Zukan said, if you get active on the forums and get to know people, there is a good chance you could get friends with an agency and get a good priority referral code that way.  This would improve your chances of getting into the beta as well as make some new friends.

We all know that smart beta players will have  a heads up on smart non beta players.

I was in Warhammer beta for a long time.  I taught new players a lot about the game and we destroyed so many people due to our heads up.

If they are doing focussed testing, that is a very good sign to me.  Most alpha/beta tests are aimless (to the testers) for most of the time. Sure they do a little bit of packing people zones and some events, but generally a let th

I've been watching the game for a while now and although it pains me not to be in beta right now testing I say don't rush it. I think HR is doing it right by not just letting anyone into beta and truely testing this game.

Now I am not saying I wouldn't kill to get into beta but I much rather have a polished game that is going to be an outstanding playing game than a polished turd that has let everyone in to beta.

But like a previous poster has said, if you can get into a guild that has beta players already it will increase your chance to get into beta.

AvA is going to take a lot more people to test.

Well, needless to say.. this game is WELL worth 50 bucks.. *shakes fists at NDA* I do agree this game is VERY polished and as they state it, it has "fluid-like mechanics". I can't wait until CBT-2.. Hope to see some of you there!

lol why don't you play call of duty 2 modern warfare while you wait like the rest of us. All betas do is burn you out faster on the game.

agreed.  If you look at time played there are a lot of people whos hours add up such that they only sleep a few hrs a WEEKEND (fri afternoon-mon morning) so they can get all their time in.

i think its a good idea that there not allowing people into the beta through preorders. it allows a fair advantage and keeps stupid players out of the system who only preorder to play and not to test.
