That's why we have a Guild Wars message board in the "Games in Development" section :P.
And don't try comparing GW to WoW yet, considering GW hasn't been released yet, so you can't really compare a Beta game to a Retail game and expect it to be on an even playing field.
That's the debate that's been going on ever since we found out what the game was like. Many people consider that unless it's an Everquest Rip off, it's not an MMORPG. Guild Wars fits the main description of ann MMORPG, it's just a very different kind of MMORPG. It has as much in common with Diablo 2 as it does with Everquest.
No, GW is not a traditional MMORPG, but it is still an MMORPG, and a really kickass one at that.
It's got far too many shards to be a mmorpg. Does counter-strike count as one? Please don't mistake me, GW looks brilliant. I'm not against it, i'm just wondering how far the term mmorpg streches?
GW is a CORPG (cooperative online role playing game) or a MORPG (multiplayer online role playing game), but i couldnt care less...and anyone who does care has issues....
---sig--- currently training 'hoping for more sci-fi mmorpgs' to level 5

PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...
Yes you need a team to do gw s missions, but then, if you play a typical mmorpg where you need a party to level up do raids etc, would you call it corpg?
Yeah you cant really compare a beta to retail thats true. And in this case Guild Wars is so much butter than WOW it hurts. GW has been better than wow since the E3 event a year ago.
Well after playing a lvl 60 warrior orc in WoW and playing the world preview event of Guild Wars, I would have to go for GW for teh win. Why? Well because Guild Wars has a few things I like better.
1) Wonderful art backed up by wonderful graphics
2) Good animations
3) Revolves around skill not level
4) Grinding is no more
5) Quick travel instead of spending half your time running here and there

I think people are making up acronyms cause they think everything has to have a "nitch" or a "place"
All of these are Online Multiplayer Games. Period.
That is the only facts there are.
Massive, Huge, all that is opinion.. what defines massive or huge?
Every game on this site INCLUDING GUILD wars is a Multiplayer Online Game, that you can meet 1000s of people online to join parties with and venture out on quests.
Exactly. Who cares what acronym you apply. The game is fun and there are lots of people to have fun with. Let's not spend all our time rearranging the deck chairs. Let's go kick each others' asses
